Sunday 18th of January the South African QL community will host the CArNaG3 Cup, online duel tournament. Players will compete for a R7000 prize pool.

Group stages will kick of in the morning at 10:00 SAST (GMT+2:00) followed by double elimination bracket ending with the grand finals at 20:00 SAST (GMT+2:00).

I am a big super metroid fan, love the game, so naturally I sometimes stumble on videos or streamers of this game.
At one point I stumbled upon "oatsngoats" ... good speedrunner ... first 3 months I watched him here and there, because it was all kinda new someone had success streaming super metroid, there were super metroid speedruns on youtube of course, just like quake speedrunning, but noone is really successful as a streamer doing this ... so at first it was a kind of nice experience to follow him ...
but since those 3 months have past, I kinda lost interest, but I still sometime stumble upon his streams ...
this guy basically 95 % of the time only streams the super metroid base game, maybe with some randomization added for the rooms, but the rooms and enemies are all 100 % the same ... and this guy, to keep his viewers, can only stream this base game all the time ... now I still stumble upon his streams years after discovering him, I am maybe on his stream for 5 minutes, just feel sorry ... I mean, all the time the fucking same single player game ... is this a fucking asylum livestream?

Question should be which gametype I enjoy the most.

Cause I play CA the most and I wont vote it! ;) If the TDM scene were more active I would defenitely play it more than CA, but as it is CA is the only mode you can play public without haveing the joiners and leavers ruining every game.

Having a poll like that isn't as consistent.

In my opinion, if what you want is depending on an if statement and said if statement isn't forfilled, then it isn't what you want (with current conditions). Since if it was what you wanted with current conditions, you'd do it instead.

Most likely if everyone got exactly what they wanted, they may be laying on a beach in the carribbean instead of playing Quake Live. Hence, I've chosen to base the poll on the current reality instead of a fictional one. Of course, it is completely valid to make a poll based on what players want as well but that wasn't the intention with the current poll.

For Q3, Qlive and UT2kx i'm going for TDM (ctf and duel are kinda slow on these games)

QW, Q4, PK, CPM, Ut99/3 and Wsw it's Duel (and i also like ctf)

nope, it works surprisingly well! you have to move it really fast to make it skip. even faster than cpm movement requires ;p then again, i'm a cpm noob, so...

On QL, it is definitly Duel, that click & play shit is awesome ! I'm so fucking borred of those games where you do nothing but wait.

For those who played Left 4 Dead, it's the biggest crap around ! It takes like 5 minutes to fill up a game, then after 3 minutes ingame, people start leaving and noone replace them, so you quit (2 vs bots on L4D ain't that fun), wait 5 minutes again (if it's on evening with lot of players online) and then go for that 3 minutes match ! For real, the online system ruined the game.
