I put together a prototype for an online multiplayer FPS game which revolves around real world factions and divisions.

Obviously everything would look a lot better with dedicated talent, but the main idea behind it was to have a game where players align to their real world alliances and do battle against their real world enemies.

I don't know if anything will come of it, its just something I wanted to put out there as I worked on it in my spare time.

My main question is, and trolling aside, do you like the idea of playing a game where your team mates are people you are aligned with in the real world on big world issues and your opposition are people who you dislike?

And of course it would have FFA type things too, but it makes more sense as a team game.

It really daunting looking at the visual quality of games like BF6, but its 400 million dollar game with about 6,000 staff.

I'm personally bored of so many games these days, so I wanted to bypass legacy rulesets for how games are made.
Arbitrary teams and factions etc, that don't really mean much, and bring in low level emotions and then build a game around that.

Just because cpm players only play cpm3a/cpm22 does not make pukka3tourney2 "new".
Industrial is an amazing map, hope to see it in more cpm cups. Great cup overall, thx and play industrial.

The winner of this poll might get featured in some of our future cups.

Also some people have asked me about the "fragmovie" I'm making of the cup. There have been some delays but it's still in the making. Due to the shortage of frags, it won't be long, but it will include lots of other stuff as well.

Industrial is my favorite. Not only because it looks nice, but because it seems to play lightning-fast. From watching the stream and actually playing it on FragLove, there's some useful jumps in CPM, both the MH and RA are risky to obtain, and it is overflowing of connectivity.

This is why we should respect the people in the professional level design industry, because more often than not the industry guys tend to make the best stuff imo. It's kind of like how you respect your elders in karate, etc. because they are the ones that managed to gain enough experience to become "teachers", etc. Congrats Hipshot. :)

It's still in beta (hence not on ..::LvL yet) and it takes a while to download, but it's worth it for sure. I'd also recommend checking out his other maps like Solitude and Crescent - Hipshot knows how to make some mean stuff. :)

I think industrial would be really interesting for 2v2, this map is really huge and can be devided in two areas.
It would need another YA. But maybe the map is too much wide open ?

And add the PU where is the 25H near low rl bump.

This is just my opinion.

We believe in you Gaiia. If I can help you, don't hesitate. ;)

industrial? huge? what's in the baguettes, mate?

For a duel map, this map is a bit large. (I agree that "huge" is overdone)

Geometrically it might be a bit big, but structurally I think it's small as you're never more than 2 jumps away from having a line of sight on the enemy.

Yes, I agree, that's why I said it might be too "wide open". Badly.
Maybe remove at least rg.
Dunno. I'm just doing pointless suggestions.

I don't think it's that big. It's smaller than Campgrounds and Furious Heights I think. It's not that wide open either imo. The only really open area is the main PG area, but for the most part it feels pretty tight.

I liked Industrial the most. One of the maps - the one played in the final map of the finals - is horseshit, but I mean that in the most sincere and respectful manner possible.

I have no idea what it's called but it's too big. Take the ratio of all maths and cut it by 1/2. For me it just doesn't capture the spirit of CPM gameplay. It seems more Q3 like in that somebody can just run and run and run.

The map with the teleport on the floor has a lot of promise. Terifire or whatever his name is, showed me a personalized style. I liked watching him play around the armors.
