The last 15th of January Stermy was a guest on Deejay TV, an Italian national tv channel, on the program Occupy Deejay.

He discussed various issues with the two hosts, ranging from the present state of esports in Italy and in the world, to his career in professional gaming and his personal live.

While not being of course thought for an audience of esports enthusiasts, I felt like stermy addressed some topics in-depth enough to make me transcript and translate the whole thing for you to read. The video of the original interview can be found on youtube.

As mentioned earlier this month, ZOWIE GEAR is launching an online Quake Live tournament with a 500$ prize pool, for which 4 players are already invited (

The main tournament will consist of 6 players, and this qualifier is to determine who will take the last two spots.

This Qualifier will take place this saturday, with a 30 minute check-in starting at 07:00 CST, 15 February 2026.

We have arrived at the FACEIT Winter Season Sunday Cup #7, and thus far it truly is still a battle between

agent running a close 3rd and 4th.

Playing for the first time last week

k1llsen battled his way to the top beating both

cooller and

evil and eventually taking out

ash in the Final Best of Five Match three maps to two. We unfortunately missed out on the live match between cooller and k1llsen but ddk added it to his Match of the Week #4 uploaded in beautiful 2160p.

As each Sunday, we are starting at 09:15 CDT. You can already sign-up now!

Daniel "ddk" Kapadia will be casting the games for you, with guests joining over Skype. You can watch all the live action on our usual channel

The FACEIT Winter Season will be played each Sunday for the coming months, where 128 players can join and play for $125, as well as points to qualify them for the Finale.

The third week of the Nationscup 2013/14 is over and were a getting closer to playoffs. The first mod entering the playoffs will be TDM at Sunday the 23rd February.

Yah so I was having some fun on Quake Live but in the meanwhile I realized I was making some good frags. I just put them together and inserted a cool song called Destroy by Walter Suray and that's what came out. This is my first movie, so there might be some errors. I mean, there are some errors. Apologize in advance.

Quake Live Group Score Calculator (3 comments)

Following the success of the recent FFA tournament and to encourage people to run more tournaments and in different rulesets, like instagib and pql-vampiric with all weapons and armor (like vamp ca), I release this small group score calculator.

The calculator takes as input game ids for a round and shows the scores for each game and a total. The organizers use the total to decide who qualifies for the next round. To get the game ids, go to quake live website and navigate to the profile of one of the players. Clicking on his past games will show you the game id in the URL.

Ruleset info is in the file.

How to install?
Download python 3.2 or later and then run this file. No other dependencies.

Why not compile an executable?
Independently released software often gets flagged by web filters and anti virus software that people are using. I think this is pure abuse and blackmail. Posting the code like this avoids those problems and also nothing special has to be done for say linux.

Why not a website?
I wanted to separate the availability of the tool from the availability of my website, especially during a tourney. This way the tourney depends only on the quake live infrastructure, organizers and players.

A second ruleset is likely to be added soon, in preparation for another tournament.

Once again, ZOWIE hosts a

Quake Live tournament! As with the previous installments, the event will consist of a Qualifier and the Main tournament.

4 Quake heavyweights will be invited directly and the qualifier will serve to decide which 2 players will join them in the main 6 player tournament to battle for money, glory and pride.

Hi, here is a compilation video of the first 30 seconds of (almost) every dreamhack winter 2013 games.
This videos are intended to analyze how the pros play each spawn.
There is no video or sound edit, just raw information.

BTW: Bloodrun and Furious Heights have shitty quality. I will uptade them after all maps are added.

Although most people tend to play it in a very safe manner splitting everything with their opponents, this is the time of the game where a big opportunity to go aggresive and get massively rewarded is very very clear"

"The start is very important cause it sets the pace and standard of the duel, quite often if you make the correct moves off the start and the other guy doesnt, then the next stage of the duel (the middle) becomes a lot easier, because your opponent doesnt have either the stack or guns to fight you effectively, so you can either rack up the frags or at worst be in an advantagous position post start!"
