First of all, a heartfelt thank you to all donors. A total of
$5100 USD was donated, setting an incredible precedent and just showing how great our little community is. To compensate for Paypal taxes, I will add ~$200 USD to the pot, so the whole donated money can be distributed.
As you can imagine, a solution that pleases everyone is impossible. While far from perfect - allowing people to discuss and participate to a vote seems adequate to the situation. If you have doubts about how we arrived to this point, you can read the whole discussion

We are sorting out the details, but we want to package this into a show. The concept is the following:
After the tournament is over, there will be a limited time period for entries to be submitted. Anybody can submit. An entry consists of a demo or vod, a time stamp, and the award category. A Panel of 5 notable community members (to be determined soon - post proposals!), will do a first selection for nominees, and eventually the community will vote for the best.
Besides the awards, the intent of this is to involve everyone into digging out the best content out of this amazing tournament.
