After disappearing from the radars of quake scene for a solid decade, Roman "Polosat1y" Tarasenko comes back with the VOD of him playing losers final on CPL Cologne against Oskar "LakermaN" Ljungström. Analyzing a bit, but more about remembering good ol times. Polos gonna post some more demos, from time to time, his own and somebody's else. The next one is going to be... BarrysWorld 4v4 EuroCup. "Hi everybody! My name is Aleksey. Beginning with February 2013 I am sponsoring the 125 FPS QuakeLive League (http://125fps.com) and provide almost all of the prize money from my own pocket. Why do I do this? Because like many of us I played the first Quake and even Duke Nukem)) on lan during my childhood. Time goes by and Im a grown-up man now with all the obligations that come along with it. Yet still I want the Quake community to flourish and reward me and all fans of the game with great matches, tournaments, reports etc.
When there are no tournaments with prize money the interest of players and fans decreases and thats what Im trying to combat. Im sure Im not the only one. The community has a lot of adult, successful people, as well as many young people who fell in love with the game.
I want to ask the community to help build on the foundation I and the 125fps team have laid and increase the prizes in the coming leagues. Fundraising is nothing new and is employed to collect funds for all kinds of events. Im sure that many of you will be happy to chip in a sum thats admissible for yourselves and even happier to follow the tournament you yourself made a contribution to!
Below are various ways to donate money for prize funds of 125fps.com leagues.
The reputation of the 125fps leagues guarantees for a fair distribution of funds. I myself will continue to contribute about 31500p(~1000$) every month.
I propose the following prize money distribution (31500RUR + donations)

15% of the donations will go towards the organization and coverage of the league, in particular recruitment of streamers.
Additionally I suggest limiting the prize pool of every league by 3500$. If there is more than 2500$ worth of donations the surplus funds get transfered to the next league. The biggest donators will be listed below every leagues prize pool (voluntary).
The fundraising will start with the announcement of the next league."

It's been a long time since the last

Q3 Promode tournament with actual prize pool (as in 'more then 20 bucks') took place. Tears have been shed about the grim future of Promode, glorious fights that have been fought, great time we've had and so little hope we had left over the past few years.

The

#promode.ru community is organizing a worthy tournament with a prize pool to spice up the challenge and make things a bit more interesting. Most of people still involved in community donated so this is where it kicks in.

All players are welcome to participate. Older 1v1 veterans are encouraged to flex some muscles and get in. We hope

The

#ctfpickup team is inviting everybody for the today's special CTF day. Each game today is played in 5on5 format.

This has different reasons. First of all we'd like to see whether 5on5 is working for Quake Live or not. CTF has always been played 5on5 back in Quake 3 and we'd like to look back on that. Another reason is, that we'd like to bring a bit more variety to CTF. We may have a few more special events for the upcoming Sundays.

I'm pleased to announce the 3rd edition of the Romanian Quake League LAN, event that will gather quakers from all over the country to play, compete and have fun with friends.

The LAN will take place in Discovery Arena Internet Cafe on the 26th of October 2013 in Bucharest. The tournament will have the same format as the previous editions and will consist in two cups: QL Duel and CA 2v2 (draft teams).
