"The September 2013 Standard arena rotation is now online. On the first Monday of each month, we will be cycling the Standard arena pool. Rather than only having access to the same standard arenas day in and day out, each month we will now feature 25 arenas selected as playable for Standard-level matches.

Newly released arenas will remain exclusive for at least three months, but every other arena is eligible to be included in the cycle."

"Hi everybody! My name is Aleksey. Beginning with February 2013 I am sponsoring the 125 FPS QuakeLive League (http://125fps.com) and provide almost all of the prize money from my own pocket. Why do I do this? Because like many of us I played the first Quake and even Duke Nukem)) on lan during my childhood. Time goes by and I’m a grown-up man now with all the obligations that come along with it. Yet still I want the Quake community to flourish and reward me and all fans of the game with great matches, tournaments, reports etc.
When there are no tournaments with prize money the interest of players and fans decreases and that’s what I’m trying to combat. I’m sure I’m not the only one. The community has a lot of adult, successful people, as well as many young people who fell in love with the game.
I want to ask the community to help build on the foundation I and the 125fps team have laid and increase the prizes in the coming leagues. Fundraising is nothing new and is employed to collect funds for all kinds of events. I’m sure that many of you will be happy to chip in a sum that’s admissible for yourselves and even happier to follow the tournament you yourself made a contribution to!
Below are various ways to donate money for prize funds of 125fps.com leagues.
The reputation of the 125fps leagues guarantees for a fair distribution of funds. I myself will continue to contribute about 31500p(~1000$) every month.
I propose the following prize money distribution (31500RUR + donations)

15% of the donations will go towards the organization and coverage of the league, in particular recruitment of streamers.
Additionally I suggest limiting the prize pool of every league by 3500$. If there is more than 2500$ worth of donations the surplus funds get transfered to the next league. The biggest donators will be listed below every leagues prize pool (voluntary).
The fundraising will start with the announcement of the next league."

ClanBase starting tomorrow September, 1st 2013 with the sign-ups for the CTF OC Fall 2013 Cup. Sign-Ups are open till 15th of September.

If you want to sign-up for the cup with your team just feel free to click here.

The Cup rules will be published tomorrow and can be found under the Cup menu. Furthermore, we are currently looking for people who are interested in helping out with the cups in terms of refereeing as well as providing coverage.

Your supervisors for that cup will be

We will give out some tokens for the Quakelive Pro/Premium membership for the winners, which tokens we get is still not decided but there will be some. Thanks to syncerror and id Software.

Something I threw together in about ~2 hours, so minimal editing obviously. It's more a motivational tool than a real frag movie really, but thought I'd post it anyway. Hope you enjoy.

Make Q3TEST Maps with GTKRadiant (1 comment)

This is how to create Quake 3 Style Maps to Q3TEST

1) Get a Quake 3 Editor like GTKRadient
2) Get QBSP3, QVIS3 and QRAD3
3) Make a map (Some Items will not be used like the GL, BFG)
4) Compile it to Quake 2 BSP (Make it just like Quake 3 1999-2000 Maps a bit not Modern :/ )
qbsp3 mymap.map
5) use QVIS3 and QRAD3 for Compiling some Lights
qvis3 mymap.bsp
qrad3 mymap.bsp
6) Convert it to Q3TEST BSP using Q2TOQ3T
(Useful for 1.06 - 1.08 Mostly)
7) Dont forget to use Native Mode and Turn Off Full Bright unless you dont have lights in yet
8) Test It and Enjoy
