A duel competition organised by the French player and streamer France Lanf3ust will take place this Thursday and Friday at 21h CEST. The French Quake veteran France ZergSpirit has been helping in the organisation and will be casting along with lanf3ust on the aAa TV.

The competition is sponsored by the great France Madrigal, who brought 400 $ to the event. The competition will be played with a double elimination bracket system.

Let's see who is the best dueller from France and French speaking Belgium !

Here are the FACEIT Daily Cups for 6 to 9 May. All the cups will kick off at 13:30 CDT, with check-ins opening at 12:30 CDT, except for the CA cups, which will start one hour earlier, 12:30 CDT (check-in opens at 11:30 CDT).

Monday will feature the Level 4 and Level 8 duel cups, while on Wednesday the other two levels, 6 and 10, will be able to face each other off.

This week we will be featuring two Team Deathmatch cups instead of CA. On Tuesday the TDM 2v2 Cup will take place, while on Thursday teams of four can get their fix. This does not mean we will stop hosting CA cups, but we will be alternating every week between TDM and CA.

You can create a team in the right top corner (2/4 - depending which cup - players per team max.). If you are already in a team, you will have to quit it. Be sure all players check-in.


Don't forget you can play on the FACEIT QL Ladder every evening from 11:00 CDT till 17:00 CDT!

Our 4th Spring Season Cup last week saw Spain p0ni dominating the whole tournament without dropping a map, eventually taking Cooller out in the Grand Final.

This Sunday the FACEIT Sunday Spring Cup #5 will take place. It will be kicking off at 08:00 CDT, while check-ins open at 07:00 CDT. You can currently already sign-up.

We are back with the stream this week on FACEIT TV with United Kingdom Daniel "ddk" Kapadia and United Kingdom Dan "zsx" Sanders, who will be going live at 08:30 CDT.


This cup will be followed by the FACEIT Quake Live North America Spring Cup #2, as it was last week. You can already sign-up for it. It will start at 13:00 CDT, with check-ins going open at 12:00 CDT

Inspired by the ease-of-play offered by games like Starcraft II and Quake Live, Sweden willgurht has developed a project to make finding and playing QuakeWorld games easy.

The second episode of the Esports Heaven show, hosted by Cadred's United Kingdom Richard A. Lewis, revolved around the question "Do esports journalists over-evaluate themselves?".

The first 80 minutes of the broadcast saw United States of America Rod "Slasher" Breslau, of GameSpot, talking about his career in esports journalism. From 80 minutes onwards United Kingdom Duncan "Thorin" Shields, Editor-in-Chief of Team Acer, joined the show, which then became a back-and-forth debate between the two guests on the topic of esports journalism.

Figured for those who are interested that I would continue entertaining the international scene with some updates of the Australian/NZ scene. 4sg have just announced their online TDM competition which has already gathered interest from the likes of Australia Dandaking, Australia Fraze, Australia Camma, New Zealand Phyrigian and soon to sign up Australia Python, Australia Haste, Australia wch and Australia zlr. As most of you are already aware, the Australian/NZ scene doesn't exactly follow the same team mode map pool as the European's or American's and some of you may be interested to follow the competition. TDM and CTF are equally played around the same amount and we constantly rotate between each of the modes. In early 2013, 4sg also had their online CTF Grand Finals which turned out to be a very exciting match that came down to the wire.. literally. More details below
