Had some leftover frags from my last movies so I figured I'd throw something together quick. Tried to put emphasis on Esr's favorite music and weapon. Used my ingame config and hud.

Evening gents. Here's my newest fragmovie called STAAL, featuring the players who play for Norway team STAAL; etty, zeun, s8n and plazma.

Been working on the project for about 1 1\2 months now, and I've now decided to release it. I've had some problems last couple of days trying to encode it from .avi to x264, but it's just not happening for me, sadly. The render looks terrible after vegas, and it looks worse after encoding, eventhough I've tried to encode it via FFmpeg, MegUI and Virtualdub. Anyways, thanks to the people who tried to assist me in that. (In short, sorry for .wmv, I promise to sort it out next time.)


Thanks to everyone who gave me feedback during the process, especially to the players featured of course. ;) I hope you enjoy it.

Are you annoyed that mappools of recent tournaments consist of oldschool maps for the most part? Do you long for something fresh? Then don't miss the experimental tournament series - 125 FPS Fresh Blood. As you probably already guessed the unusualness of this series lies in the mappool.

From Monday to Friday (13-17 May) there will be five open tournaments, a new map every day. Players will collect points during every tournament. At the end of the week the 8 players with the most points will face off in the final tournament on Saturday (18 May).

QUAKE LIVE Premium Pak 17 is now online. This update features three new arenas from both community members, and a new in-house arena targeted at our Clan Arena mode. We are also announcing our plans to players in response to our recent downtime.


Additionally, as a token of our appreciate for your patience through our recent downtime, we are happy to announce the following:
Subscriptions Extended: The expiration date for all subscriptions have been extended by 3 days, to make up for lost time.
Free Premium Arena Weekend: We are opening up access to all arenas from Friday, May 10th through Sunday, May 12th. Players will be able to play on all arenas at all membership levels, and our Pro subscribers will be able to launch standard matches utilizing the full array of maps.
Accept our Repentance: The new Clan Arena map from id Software, Repent, will be added to this month's Standard Map Rotation and available for everyone to play beginning today.

For the fifth time, MaverickServers is hosting a Quake 3/Quake Live level design competition. Mappers from the community are encouraged to participate; veteran mappers and those looking to get into mapping are welcome to join in on the fun. Prizes will be awarded to the best maps.

The contest will start on June 9th and run for 12 weeks until August 31st; judging will begin for 1 week later. Registration deadline is 4 weeks after the start date on July 6th.

Sapphire, Wacom, and id Software are already sponsoring and there are more to come (if you are interested in donating please PM me)

The winner of the highest division of the latest installment of the Thunderdome QuakeWorld Duel tournament will be decided in a couple of hours at 22:00 CET (4:00 PM EST)

It will be Sweden bps from the winner bracket facing off against Sweden LocKtar from the lower bracket. The contest will be decided by a best of 5, and if LocKtar wins the best of 5, he will have to win another best of 5 as he is indeed coming from the lower bracket!

Check QTV to watch with the game client, or tune into the stream!

Here are the FACEIT Daily Cups for 6 to 9 May. All the cups will kick off at 13:30 CDT, with check-ins opening at 12:30 CDT, except for the CA cups, which will start one hour earlier, 12:30 CDT (check-in opens at 11:30 CDT).

Monday will feature the Level 4 and Level 8 duel cups, while on Wednesday the other two levels, 6 and 10, will be able to face each other off.

This week we will be featuring two Clan Arena cups instead of TDM. On Tuesday the CA 2v2 Cup will take place, while on Thursday teams of four can get their fix. This does not mean we will stop hosting TDM cups, but we will be alternating every week between TDM and CA.

You can create a team in the right top corner (2/4 - depending which cup - players per team max.). If you are already in a team, you will have to quit it. Be sure all players check-in.


Don't forget you can play on the FACEIT QL Ladder every evening from 11:00 CDT till 17:00 CDT!

"This ain't a collection of l33t frags, and it wasn't meant to be one. It's more of trollmovie and I hope it made some of you smile :)

After dreaming of this for over a year, feeling unable to realize it on my own, I finally surmounted and took over the situation. I'm quite happy to present u Black Pork Down. My first movie, so don't expect too much.

I'm aware of some Issues that I didn't "fix" due to lack of motivation, but I guess this should be enjoyable. Before getting criticized I also wanna point out that I consciously did not edit visuals a lot or use motion blur. And that I'm not planing to make more movies, so don't care too much about giving constructive feedback."

"The May 2013 Standard arena rotation is now online. On the first Monday of each month, we will be cycling the Standard arena pool. Rather than only having access to the same standard arenas day in and day out, each month we will now feature 24 arenas selected as playable for Standard-level matches.

Newly released arenas will remain exclusive for at least three months, but every other arena is eligible to be included in the cycle."
