Every match will be Best of Three, excluding the Grand Final which will be a Best of Five. There will be a prize for both participants of the Grand Final.

March 16th, 2013, is going to meet us with an invitational 16 slots Duel Tourney "Quake Renaissance". We're going to send out 12 direct invites, the other 4 slots are open for those who manage to get top places on qualifying tourneys taking place on March 2nd and 9th. Tourney will be organized by deliberate murder and is privately sponsored.

FACEIT return with the Daily Cups, this week with both duel cups, and again the two Clan Arena test cups. Every cup this week will start at 14:30 CDT, with check-ins opening at 13:30 CDT.

Last week we had our first tests in for the FACEIT Clan Arena cups. We received a lot of useful feedback, which we have tried to implement. To make sure we can run them in the future, we are hosting two Test Cups again, for 2v2 and 4v4. These cups will take place on Tuesday and Thursday.

You can create a team in the right top corner, be sure to only add one extra person to the team (2/4 - depending which cup - players per team max.). If you are already in a team, you will have to quit it. Be sure all players check-in.

On Monday we will feature a Level 4 and Level 8 Duel cup, while the Level 6 and Level 10 Duel Cups will take place on Wednesday.

Hello everyone. It's been a while since I made an interview but here I am again. This time, I wanted to ask some questions to France Laurent "Sev3n" B. He has been doing pretty well in the lasts FACEIT cups and has acquired a good amount of points for the FACEIT Winter Cup. He's already beat players like Germany twister, Russia agent or Russia pavel_. Yesterday, he even eliminated Russia evil in the round of 8 of the FACEIT#21 in a close match.

Sev3n is quite an UFO in the French QuakeLive scene and I thought it was a good occasion to ask him where he comes from, what are his goals with QuakeLive, what equipment is he using, what did he think of his game with Belarus Cypher, and some other stuff.

Here is an extract of the interview :
Esportsfrance : When did you decide to play online competitions ? Did you feel a change in your game that gave you some kind of confidence to fight against the best players or did you go simply to test yourself ?

France Sev3n : When I started duel on QuakeLive, I had no plan to play competitively. I was playing for fun, mainly with my friends. I had no ambition to become a strong player or to challenge the best ones. Nevertheless, I recently found out that I got better in many aspects of the game and I wasn't satisfied with a casual play anymore. Approximately three months ago, I decided to play some online competitions (faceit).

Welcome to the PQL Open Duel points events. We will be hosting five separate events consisting of a one map double elimination format. This will be a points based system with the top eight players playing in a final match event which will show case the five maps. ... "It's a Wrap!" to our House of Quake CTF Season 4.

As per usual House of Quake season, we've had clutch play, MVP performances, match scheduling drama, great attempts by certain aspirants and crowning of champions, and much more!

All the outstanding matches have been treated as def-losses for both teams (which gives both teams +0 points and doesn't penalise either clan in regards to their Flags Captured to Flags Lost ratio), unless one of the teams previously withdrew from the league, in which case the remaining team was treated to a defwin as the sole remaining participant.


Thanks for reading, and House Of Quake CTF will be back for a renewed season in a time when there is less clan and national competition, in order to give players with multiple focus to breathe. House of Quake TDM is starting its wrap-up/closure procedures, and House of Quake CA 4v4 and 2v2 have just started.

Upcoming Sunday the FACEIT Sunday Cup #21 will take place! The Russian gatekeeper evil is currently sitting at the top spot in the Winter Season rankings with 74 points, followed by dem0n, who has 40 points.

Last week evil again showed why he deserves that top spot, winning the cup as he beat FraZe with 3-1 in the grand final. The third/fourth spot went to Guard and twister.

Unfortunately enough we won't be able to stream this week's Sunday Cup, as we will be streaming the Mad Catz CS:GO Invitational. However, United Kingdom Xavier "Zoot" Dhorne will be bringing the action on his on Twitch channel.

The FACEIT Sunday Cup #20 will be kicking off at 09:00 CDT, while check-ins open at 08:00 CDT. You can currently already sign-up. If you are not playing, be sure to tune in to find out who will take one step closer to qualify for the $500 Winter Championship Finale.
