With this cup we want to give the game the celebration it deserves. The aim is to get the old schoolers back for a final blast and show the new kids what a team based game truly is about.

Add to that it will be one of the last chances to get your name written in the books of RtCW history! The key word is fun! of course getting stabbed to death will still be humiliating and rusty skills need to be polished once more, but sometimes it really is more important to participate than to win.

The cup also provides the ideal opportunity to fight against your heroes or your nemesis from the past. We've already seen the return of two former EuroCup teams, and those who've been paying attention to the IRC channel (mIRC #rtcw.wars) might have noticed the return of some other familiar faces.

Are you ready to get overdosed by Return to Castle Wolfenstein?

So here we are once again, facing the RtCW Fall Cup 2012 featuring the one and only United States of America WarWitch! So many have already read the interviews and the news post about the cup, and also participated in our small community. Without any further introduction, the plan is simple: the cup will start on November 4th, so don't forget to signup! You still have plenty of time; everybody is welcome to play!

The time has come. We now have time to put together a few events for all of you Europeans way out there across the blue yonder!!! We are going to start of the way we started in N.A. with a little bit of fast paced Aerowalk action!!! So get your euro frag on, and lets do this.

This event starts at 13:00 CDT, with check-in beginning at 12:00 CDT. The players brackets will be 32 due to the early start time and the fact that I have all day to stream the event. We will not be increasing the brackets anymore due to players being in school and/or working in the morning. The wait-listed players will be able to check in 15 min prior to closing.

I would prefer to see all matches played on private servers with passwords in order to not have any disruptions! Hope to see you all sign up!

As the Adroits LAN is set for this weekend, we will not be hosting our weekly FACEIT QL Sunday Cup. Therefore we have come up with some new cups for tonight, so you can still get your Quake fix.

This evening,Wednesday, at 13:00 CDT we will be hosting two cups, each allowing 64 players. It will be the first time where we will be using our Tier system. The Tier 4 Wednesday Night Cup will have 20$ and 10$ for the Tier 3 cup. Check-ins will open at 12:00 CDT.

Below you can find more details for the Wednesday Night Tier Cups. If you're not sure what Tier you are, simply go to both cup pages and you will see which one you are able to join.

The Tier system is not working entirely properly yet, and we're working on a better system at the moment. So if you feel your Tier is lower than it displays, feel free to join the Tier 4 cup.

Today the groups, format and schedule of the Adroits Quake Tournament have been announced. Additionally it has been made public that the LAN will miss 20 additional PCs and the 120Hz monitors. Currently Sweden Purri is working on at least securing the monitors.

An ut2004 fragmovie with frags from ACo>, edited by dezp. All the frags are from 1v1, 2v2 or 4v4 TDM, and they are all from either pickups, scrims, or official games.

This is my first serious movie project, and as such I put a lot of time and effort into it. While I wasn't planning on making another movie anytime soon, or at least not one this long, I met ACo one day, whom I knew as great tdm player, and after some talking we thought that a movie full of his TDM frags is a good idea, and so we started working on the movie.

About the movie:
ACo> by dezp is a simple, clean movie, featuring ACo>, a French UT2004 player. All the frags are from TDM or duel games. Instead of focusing on "fancy" editing, my main goal was to achieve good synchronization, flow and "atmosphere" of the movie, because that's how I like frag-movies myself. As a result, I think you can expect a fun movie full of action, and good frags - I would say this is one of the best frag collections from a single UT2004 player out there.

SC2 player suspended from EG without pay after joking about sex with a minor in a private message. I think as more and more monied interests play an increasingly central role in competitive gaming, pro players will need to cultivate and promote a professional demeanor not unlike traditional pro sports personalities -- a challenge made much more difficult considering the average age of a gaming professional.

The FACEIT Quake Live Sunday Cup #4 is kicking off on the 14th at 08:00 CDT, with check-ins opening at 07:00 CDT. Sign-ups have already opened.

Last week was won by baksteen in an epic final versus Cypher, with the Dutchman taking 100$ and Cypher taking 25$. This Sunday's cup will again host a maximum of 128 players, in the final cup before the Adroits LAN. Casting will again be provided by British duo United Kingdom Xavier "Zoot" Dhorne and United Kingdom Daniel "ddk" Kapadia.

The rules and map pool will also be unchanged from last time.

Our highlights video of the FACEIT QL Sunday Cup #3 has also been released, made by l1nkin.

This will be the first map that we have hosted which was designed and built by the QuakeLive Team. It is also one of the most popular maps in the duel community, having been used on the pro circuit for QuakeCon 2010 and IEM5.
