In the last two months of this year
SPID.SI, will be hosting a TUP event in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Besides StarCraft 2 and FIFA13 it will also feature the game you’re all here for:
Quake Live. There are two ways one can qualify for the event that will feature quite a
nice sum of money as well as hardware prizes. By getting one of the 4 slots reserved for players qualifying through the
Open Tournament on the day of the event, or more simply placing TOP-3 in one of our
four Qualifier Cups. The first one will take place on 29th of September and will be limited to 32 players. If we don’t reach the thirty strong player count, we will downsize it to 16 slots.
The tournament is open to attend to players from the Balkan region, meaning Albanian, Bosnian, Bulgarian, Croatian, Serbian and Montenegrin players are warmly welcome to participate, but we will not limit ourselves to that – Italians, Hungarians, Czechs and other nations are all invited to compete, but do know that we do not cover the travel and accommodation costs that may occur. Let us also note that if interest will be overwhelming, we reserve the right to expand the final tournament to 24 or 32 slots – the more people attend the online Qualifier Cups, the bigger the tourney size. Also, playing in the Cups and not attending the final event will, together with making us sad, give you a ban from our future events. So, please, do not play if you do not plan on showing up in Ljubljana. By the community, for the community.
EDIT: Players from everywhere are welcome, but we worded it so that there is a clear indication from where most signups are expected to come, but if you're per say an American or any other nationality player that wants to attend, we'll be delighted to have you!
Until 06:00 CDT on September 29th by registering and commenting on the original announcement on the SPID.si website with your Quake Live nick, nationality and e-mail.
On September 29th at 12:30 CDT by being on
