This Sunday starting at 11:00 CDT, we are pleased to present you with an 8 man Quake Live invitational tournament, part of our "Arena" series of events under The GD Studio. The Arena features monthly tournaments for Quake Live, Bloodline Champions, Dota 2 and Starcraft 2, all supported by AMD Sapphire.

A quick highlight i made, theres alot of mistakes but i just couldnt be bothered since vegas decided to crash on me constantly

Adroits are happy to announce that we will be hosting points cups with a duel entry ticket up for grabs! The first two in the series of six cups will be used to determine the last map for the final map pool, currently including Lost World, Furious Heights, Aerowalk and Silence. Participants in these two first cups (as well as players signed up for the LAN) will be voting for which map they want in the main pool.

As expected, the player who has accumulated the most points by the end of the series will receive free entry to the LAN.

After the best part of a year working together Zoot has decided to part ways with Level Up TV. Zoot wishes to thank the team for bringing him this far and offering such a great platform to commentate Quake Live from.

Its been a while since the last Painkiller cup and with the new upcoming game Painkiller: Hell & Damnation, the moment is well chosen to host Painkiller Forever Duel Cup, hopefully this wont be a good bye cup but a celebration to a new beginning in the Painkiller series.

If you want to participate but don’t have Painkiller you can download PKlite a free version of Painkiller that contain only the multiplayer version of the game and the latest patch (1.64), you will also need a CD-key all you have to do is enter your email on this site, you might aswell want to check out PK++ a mod that let you edit your hud, settings and many other features.

Also if there is enough north american players of signed up, we can split to a EU and NA Bracket.

Until such time that the demos can be properly archived on the QuakeCon.org site, I have uploaded the CTF Open demos in their entirety to my FTP site.

This archive contains the Playoffs, Bronze, and Grand Finals demos; screenshots for the Grand Finals matches, match statistics information, as well as scans of the scorecards for each and every match.

If you are interested in only the bronze and grand finals, these are available in a single archive.

I anticipate uploading a similar package tomorrow containing the demos and results for the Intel Quake Live Duel Open.

Update: The demos are now being moved to the official QuakeCon.org archive, and are currently unavailable through syncerror.com. I'll update everyone once the demos are accessible again at quakecon.org.

Achilles - In the end, you lost the ace match, coming in 2nd overall. Do you have any regrets from this weekend?

DaHang - In terms of my preparation and trying my best, no. I know I definitely could have won, so I obviously regret not doing so.

The online qualifiers are finally over ! Now, we know the name of the first 4 teams that will participate at the Op3n ShootMania finals at the Gamescom, which will be held the 17th August.
Four other teams will have a chance to join our already qualified teams for the finals on August, 17th.

So if you have not been given the opportunity to participate in our on-line qualifiers or if you were simply unlucky, you still have a chance to qualify your team for the finals by participating in the final qualifier which will be held Thursday, 16th August at the Gamescom.

This last qualifier will only include 16 teams. The best four of them win their place for the finals, which are going to be held the next day.

So, if you have the opportunity to go to Cologne and if you want to register your team for this "last chance" qualifier, here is how we will proceed:

8 teams will be selected by ESL & Nadeo according to various criteria, the results obtained during the four qualifiers. They will be contacted shortly.

8 other teams will be selected via a random drawing which will be held Friday, 10th August. Of course, if you want to give your team a chance to be selected, you must register.

This movie was a personal project to make something I can be proud of than to please the crowd with amazing frags or glorious editing but I am sure you will be pleased with its contents.
