Hello fellow Quakers! The multigaming clan 3D-Gaming has set up his very first Quake Live tournament sponsored by Spire Corp. and it's a special one too. This tournament is aimed at the beginners in QL Duel or players who still struggle with the gametype.

The tournament will be held on Sunday, 22nd of July 2012 at 15:00 CEST and every European QL Duel player with a maximum QLRanks ELO of 1399 is allowed to play! You can find all the important information below, we hope for many sign ups and nice games.

SC2 Ready Action! show by GOMtv is bringing you the first official confrontation of KeSPA and GSL players. The games be played every Monday at 04:00 CDT. Team and player names will be anonymous until Match 3.

There has been no English announcement yet and still no news of the stream for this being available outside Korea, but hopefully GOMtv won't disappoint, specially since their previous SC2 Ready Action! vods are available for everyone to watch.

Did your movies ever helped you to visit eSports events?

mccormic: Dreamhack Summer 2011, Dreamhack Winter 2011 and Dreamhack Summer 2012. James "2GD" Harding was looking for a video editor last April and ZeroQL suggested me. We got in touch, and I told him that I'll help him if he gets my ass to Dreamhack Summer '11. 15 minutes later I already had everything booked so I noticed its no-joke. After meeting him personally we decided to work together in the future so he brought me to the upcoming Dreamhacks too. And more to come! :).

Duel Nights are friendly community tournaments mainly aimed at new and low level players who want to find others to play with, or people who just want to compete in a casual, friendly setting. It uses a ladder-like system which means everyone gets to play the same amount of games, so even if you don't have a shot at winning you still get to play a fair amount of games against similarly skilled players - maybe you'll find someone to practice with, play teams with or just talk about the game with. There's no prize but fame and glory and a cute gold medal next to your reddit username. The main objective is simply to play and have fun :)

The minimum amount of people required for a tournament is 5 people. Any less than this and the tournament won't happen :(

Anyone who wants are free to join, but all games must be played on an European server. You need a Challonge account to participate.

Make sure you join our IRC channel: #qlreddit @ irc.quakenet.org (webchat) - you need to be present there during the tournament, and we'd love for you to hang out there when there's not a tournament, too :)

This is a reoccurring event that happens every Wednesday for EU players and every Sunday for NA players

As announced last month, Adroits will be hosting a live event in October which will feature Quake Live. The tournaments for Quake Live were originally announced as 1vs1 duel and 4vs4 TDM. In addition to these two tournaments, we will also be providing the CTF players an opportunity to have their game mode at this event. There will be a certain criteria that this tournament must meet before it will be confirmed as definitely going ahead. More information on that can be found later in this press release.

So that’s the tournaments confirmed, but there’s a twist to one of them. Since the announcement about our Quake Live TDM tournament, various community members and figures have approached us both publicly and privately about running the TDM tournament in a Nations Cup format. We’ve taken this feedback on board and considered it thoroughly, which has resulted in us choosing to go with a Nations TDM tournament as opposed to a team TDM tournament.


A ChipIn account has been created for anybody who wishes to donate to the prize pool for the players. We are also looking into creating seperate ChipIn accounts for the nations participating in the TDM World Cup to help them offset expenses. These will be set up once we know which teams have signed up.

Expect further news items when the signups open. In the meantime, if you have any questions about anything I've posted here, leave a comment and I'll reply as quickly as I can! I should also note that the TDM and Duel tournaments will not clash on the schedule as it stands. I cannot promise this will be the case for CTF.

Hey man im great! I arrived at Dreamhack 10 minutes ago and now I`ll play the first matches of the group stages. I am feeling really good right now.

First of all let`s talk a bit about your real life. If one follows your Facebook comments you seem very passionate about Electronic music, any comments on that?

Yeah that`s right. I went to some events and i started to like it more and more. I went to a party boat trip last week for example.The people, the music, the atmosphere, everything is just amazing, especially in the summer.

In the 6th edition of the infected Duel Cup Series Estonia rehepapp won over Poland RSn, who couldn't attend in the finals after overheating his computer. After some internal problems we have to schedule the 7th edition for the next saturday. It takes place on European servers and all players of all skill levels are welcome! You can already sign up, and make sure to have a stay on IRC at #infectedGaming while the cups proceeds. We made some changes in the rule work that contains only 5 maps.


If you want to stream the cup, you can contact us on our homepage or by IRC. The streams will be anounced on our stream page. Visit the cup page for extended rules.
