DreamHack Summer 2012 is 4 weeks away, and it's time to prepare. Today we are very happy to present the third batch of players that are ready to fight for the 70 000 SEK prize purse.

Last week two Brazilian players reached the final match of the very first qualifier of the LATAM Quake Live tournament. The next qualification round starts tomorrow at 14:00 CDT, with one hour check-in beforehand, and anyone from Latin America who wants to play has a chance to get a place. All participants should be present on the official IRC channel throughout the tourney. For more info about this championship, see the announcement. Registration and check-in for the 2nd qualifier is available.

DreamHack Summer 2012 is coming closer every day and the first invited players have been announced as well as the mappool for the biggest LAN Event there is. ZOTAC wants to support it once more by providing the perfect opportunity to prepare for the DreamHack Quake Live Duel competition. Thereby the mappool for the upcoming ZOTAC Cups will be changed.

Once again thousands of gamers are expected to visit the DreamHack Summer 2012 from June 16th to 19th in Jöngköping, Sweden with a 70,000 SEK prize money pool for Quake Live. 32 slots will be available for players to apply for and there won't be any open qualifiers this time. Details about the application process can be found on ESReality and the official DreamHack website.

Cyber Sports Network is proud to announce a one day North America CTF Cup. The "Make It CTF!" Cup is a free tournament designed to spark the North America CTF community in hopes of having id Software take notice and add CTF as the official team mode for QuakeCon 2012.

The Map pool will be different. Liked by some and disliked by others, the pool has been chosen to celebrate the development that id Software has continue to put forth in keeping QuakeLive relevant as the Grand Daddy of all eSports. Registration is now open for this event and we encourage all Quake fans to find or create a team and enter. Prizes for this event will be announced in coming days.

For the fourth time, MaverickServers is hosting a Quake 3 level design competition. Mappers from the community are encouraged to participate; veteran mappers and those looking to get into mapping are welcome to join in on the fun. Prizes will be awarded to the best maps.

The contest will start on June 2nd and run for 10 weeks until August 11th. Judging will occur for 1 week after. Registration deadline is 3 weeks after the start date on June 23rd.

Sapphire, Wacom, and Kot-in-Action are already sponsoring and there are more to come.

Quake 2 movies were realised,one of them was made by the old-schooler

dud4 with some nice air-rocket frags and awesume rail shots,here is a note from him about this movie :

"i've quit the game 3-4 years ago, and made this from my fellow demos to 80% 3 years ago..
I decided to finish the fellow 20% last month, to get rid of many uncompressed files from hdd. as the name tells, it's not a serious production, just a short mix of funplay.

i'm not coming back, just a final goodbye to this awesome game..
