Welcome to The Champions League, Quake Live Team Death Match league for the current top teams of the Europe. We consider this to be a beta tournament, and if everything works out well and people like the concept, it will become a series with 2 tournaments per year. We use forced maps for this league and the matches will be played every Sunday at 11:00 CDT and 13:00 CDT during 6 weeks.

This Sunday starting at 11:00 CDT, we are pleased to present you with an 8 man Quake Live invitational tournament, part of our "Arena" series of events under The GD Studio. The Arena features monthly tournaments for Quake Live, Bloodline Champions, Dota 2 and Starcraft 2, all supported by AMD Sapphire. During the show you will have a chance to win a Sapphire HD 7870 graphics card courtesy of Sapphire Technology. In order to do so you will have to like their Facebook page and then post a comment guessing who will be the 2 players to make the final and what will the mapscore be (bo5).

Your hosts for the evening will be James "2GD" Harding and Pelle "fazz" Söderman.

The duel cup starts with a group stage. You can find the rules right here. Please stay stick to the rules to have the best experience in competetion and fun. Infected Gaming now organizes the cups every Saturday and later with some changes, so more players will be able to participate. Don't worry we will inform you about the cups but maybe you should know, how to sign-up. Just check out the cup page to see the wanted chapter.

With the first Points Cup out of the way, the second one is just around the corner. playQUAKELIVE Series 2 Points Cup #2 for Europe kicks off in a few days, on 08:00 CDT, 6 May 2012. The registrations are open, and you’re encouraged to register, even if you played the last cup since the points add up and are the only criterium for getting into the Grand Finals.

If you missed out on the action from the last cup, you can always check out the VOD, and see some nice ctf action.

What svr and Noobs Anonymous once did, I am doing now. #cpmduel channel is hosting 1st #cpmduel NEWBIES cup. This cup is intended for people inexperienced with cpm, people who are curious to try it and people who are in cpm for a short period of time. This cup is not intended for Warsow or Quake veterans who are new to CPM! It's aimed towards european players so matches will be played on euro servers. Registration will open 45 minutes in advance of the tournament (11:00 CDT). If you want to play make sure you're on IRC in #cpmduel channel on QuakeNet.

Update: After loooong night of cpm 1v1 action we were spectating awesome grandfinal where mda|DEZ defeated WB champion lowR. Final results are: mda|DEZ, lowR, WTFProoF

Sign-ups for the Ready Up Radio CPM Duel League have been closed and player groups have been compiled. Even though all slots have been filled, we are still expecting there to be some no-shows. If you are interested in playing, please PM nineX on #uscpmpickup with your interest and you will be added. You will be notified if you are needed. Group play will begin May 5.


Please be idling the #uscpmpickup channel for the entirety of the tournement. Also check the Google Docs spreadsheet, where Group Stage scores will be posted.

EDIT: After talking with several players, there are no more set dates/time for individual groups. I will post matches for each of the groups, players are to read and follow the rules carefully and to play and schedule matches on their own. Both players will need to report scores to nineX, wonko or eThaD. Also, if you have any interest in having your match streamed, please contact one of them and that can be worked out. Players have until May 13 to have all their group matches played. I will begin filling out the bracket May 14 with the top 2 of each group, whether or not all games have been played. I will contact players if there is a need for a tie-breaker within the group. Good luck.
