Hi Guys,
with the help of excello.net i am organizing a Quake Live 4vs4CTF Cup. There will be 2 ladders, Gold for Division 1 & 2 Clans and Silver for Division 3 & 4 Clans.
It will take place tomorrow so use your last chance to sign a team up!

Date: 22nd April from 15-20h
Mappool: Japanese Castles, Troubled Waters, Shining Forces, Iron Works, Spider Crossing
Prizes: 4 Zowie Swift Mousepads for both ladders
Mode: Bo3 Single Elimination

We are about to see round 3, here are the matches!

For the people new to JeeSports here are the most important info

Round 3 Schedule and short preview before matches

The Netherlands vs. France @ 3.04 21 CET After their glorious victory over Norway The dutch had to accept their defeat against Belgium in round 2. After 3 tremendously close games The Netherlands proofed that they are able to keep up with Belgiums star line-up, the Dutch couldn't beat them though. After easy wins over Italy and Norway the french try continue their streak. Will The Netherlands be able to stop the favorites for this cup?
Czech [0:2] Belgium @ SF [0:7], JC [0:8] VOD In round 2 the Czechs had to give away 2 maps to Denmark. Their teamplay showed room for improvement, the Belgians shouldn't be too overconfident though. Hopefully the Czech Republic will be able to outsmart their opponents in order to compensate the Belgians superior aim.
Poland [1:2] Sweden @ SC [4:3] IW [0:4], JC [2:4] VOD Awesome game incoming! Poland showing off perfect teamplay against Russia, wasn't able to take out the Germans though. On the other side Sweden with a loss to the UK but a convincing win over Russia. We cant wait to see the clever tactics of Sweden competing with Polands aggressive play.
Italy [2:0] Denmark @ IW [1:0], JC [3:2] VOD #1, VOD #2 After Italys loss against Frances top line-up they will face a team of their caliber. Denmark also struggling against the french superstar team, could finally manage to get their first victory against Czech Republic. The JeeSports Admin Team is really excited about this match since these teams are absolutely even.
The United Kingdom [2:1] Germany @ JC [2:1], IW [1:4], TW [3:2] VOD #1, VOD #2, VOD #3 The German line-up with uncountable years of quake experience had an easy fight against Poland. They lost ridiculously close to Finland though.In the meantime UK showed intelligent and precise play leading to their victory over Sweden.
Finland [2:0] Russia @ IW [3:2], SC [4:3] VOD Finlands game against Germany was the most exciting match of round 1. Finlands top-level aim and stiff structured play might make them to favorites for the title. The Russians will have to come up with some tricks and special tactics to undermine their enemies advantage in experience and aim.

id Software has fixed the masterserver after weeks for Quake III / Team Arena, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory.

Server support for Quake III/Q3:TA, RTCW and Wolf:ET are back online! Thanks for your patience (id Software Twitter)

The Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory Master Server (along with the other idTech 3 masters) is back up and running. Thanks @idSoftware! (Splash Damage Twitter)

In the time without the masterserver the community had created a fix for Wolf ET, see etmaster.net and Splash Damage forum.

nuttybrO with support from 4seasonsgaming is proud to present the first North American One Day Duel Cup. The One Day cup is open for registration for all NA players only. The Cup will feature bo3 single elimination format and will include casted streams and a small prize for first! Being one of the few players remaining from the good old blooming days, Stermy's definitely an icon of professional gaming. Considered to be as one of the most successful of all time - with an incredible amount of winnings behind his back - the man earned his popularity within the title he adores the most – Quake. Alessandro started his career back in 2001, and has since been dominating every aspect of the competitive gaming scene. The global star hasn't however restricted himself only to his in-game commitments, as he organized various series of events for the community he truly loves, most notably the Ultimate Gaming Championship. During this interview - which, unfortunately, turned out to be rather short for my liking – we tried to cover a few aspects such as his standing within Quake's current painful situation, as well as a few sneak peeks regarding the upcoming edition of UGC. A couple of comical questions have been added to spice things up; so please, feel free to read the following article.

You have been a part of the Quake scene almost forever, and even though we can not see you participating in duel events anymore, you are the founding stone of arguably the best TDM team in the game. Why do you think other teams can't get the better of you?

I think the competition at Dreamhack Summer 2011 was amazing and there were definitely a few teams that could have put a good fight against us. I managed to create a solid team that works great together, our chemistry and our skills compensate eachother styles and works great in QuakeLive. We all have a lot of experience and know eachother for a very long time, we know what to do in most of the situation and how to prepare in the best way possible. I think one of our biggest strengths is that we can study our weaknesses very well and work together to improve as a team.
