Hey guys,
I am please to anncounce once again, The HouseofQuake will be starting leagues this season featuring both CTF and TDM 4v4
New Rules have been created and simplified for this season, please take your time to read them carefully, Match schedule can also be found within the rules, with important information for both players and team captains.
Anyone needing help or more information for the leagues should contact Me (williebobc) or drayan, alternativly you can ask anyone in #HoQLeagues (IRC Quakenet) with @, should you not find us.

Please... no time wasters, HouseofQuake want to give those who really want to play and enjoy QuakeLive, the best possible experience within a league, at a competative level.

EDIT: TDM Signups end.. 13th/Feb/2012 and the CTF Ssignups end...16th /Feb/2012 3 days prior to the leagues 1st games. Map list is not 100% atm CTF is afaik (ask Drayan) TDM im still thinking about.

I just had to make another quake-movie, also because the scene didn't saw one in a long long time. (And the last one I made was 7 years ago.)

The moves and frags are perfectly synced with the music and I'm sure you'll enjoy it. It took me some months to create this movie. The movie is quitte fast paced and touches the actual ingame speed. But don't worry, the editing is smooth and not flipped at all. And in case you 're not sure what happened: go hit the replay button later! And yeah yeah, it's just Quake 1... and even despite my cinematic video-FX pimps it still can 't compare to newer games looks but heck.... the beauty is in the frags and in the syncs anyway! Now what are you waiting for, go give it a try!

Timothee Besset was heavily involved in Quake Live but has left to join a startup gaming company. (his blog entry)

I resigned from id earlier this week. Folks who know me well were not terribly surprised, but I suppose I need to put that out there officially. I joined a small startup in Dallas, gaming related, but not fps or esports. Great people, great tech, and we're going to have a blast.

Now with an opening on the QL team, time to move over the id employee who is working on anti-cheat so he can work on it full time.

Timothee Besset (also known as TTimo) is a software programmer most well known for creating and supporting Linux, as well as some Macintosh, ports of id Software's products. He has been involved with the game ports of various id properties over the past ten years, starting with Quake III Arena. Since the development of Doom 3 he has also been in charge of the multiplayer network code and various aspects of game coding for id, a role which had him heavily involved in the development of their online game QuakeLive. Update: Due to personal reasons, strenx postponed the match to Feb 8th, 20 cet

The end of EMS IX is near. The last ESL Major Series Quake matches take place this week! As no dates have been determined yet, no stream info can be given. From the moment the dates are fixed, info will be shared! Depending on the schedule, JoeMiller will step it up to cast!

The Grand Final is a battle between France and Germany! Will it be France strenx or Germany k1llsen who take the head prize of €500?

In the 3rd Place decider Netherlands Sc00T faces Russia agentJkezooR. Last time the match turned out in favour of Sc00T. Will Sc00T be strong enough to pull it off a 2nd time, or will agentJkezooR take revenge?

For the first time in a long time South Africa will have an online Quake Live Duel tournament. The tournament will be hosted by XTC Gaming, one of South Africa's largest E-Sports clan's.

Players like the legendary Ph4ntom and Shase will be competing so it is sure to be a fantastic display of South African Quake talent. Unfortunately Szarko, South Africa's number 1 according to www.qlranks.com, is not playing for unknown reasons.
