Tomorrow (Sunday) at 19:00CET it's time for the grand final in division 1 of European Quake League. In this fourteenth edition it's the European union Slackers that are taking on the Swedish powerhouse Fragomatic in a best of five map series.

Slackers have as always been a solid team throughout the season, only losing three maps in total with two of those being against Fragomatic themselves in the group stage match. Their last game was against Suddendeath in the semifinal whom they managed to fend off in a straight 3-0 win. However, Fragomatic are by many the favourites to prevail in this final and judging from their performance against Crazy 88 in their last match where they totally dominated their opponents, this is not off the chart at all. They have only lost one map this season, against Slackers, and have an incredible lineup including finnish star player Milton.

Although Slackers are most probably missing one of their core players in Murdoc, this game might turn out to be a real classic. Make sure to keep an eye on qtv.quakeworld.nu when it is about to start in order not to miss out on the action!

Late Edit: Division 2 Final is also scheduled for tonight. The teams fighting for the championship are OClan and Immortals! The game is at 21 CET! Division 1 Bronze game will aswell be played tonight, schedule isn't exact but starting earliest at 22CET. The bronze game will be played between Suddendeath and Crazy 88!

After finisching 4th Place in the Dreamhack TDM Tournament Germany Yellack from 2K.Clan give us his thoughts about Quakelive, Dreamhack and map building.

It’s a lost opportunity in my opinion when there are thousands of young gamers walking around and hardly see that QL is played there. Shouldn’t be too expensive to pimp the area up with some original id/QL stuff. It’s the biggest Lan in the world goddamnit!"

"Just Play" Painkiller Duel Cup is targeted for North American players, but is open to anyone who is willing to deal with the ping and time difference.

Due to the minor success of Season 1 of the "Just Play" PK duel cup, I decided to schedule Season 2. Season 1 ended in an exciting manner, with Hungary Andy taking the #1 spot with 160 ping.

There is a free version of Painkiller (mplay only) if you are interested in participating but do not own the full version of the game, all of which is linked on the cup page.

I'm also excited to announce that United States of America Jehar over at tastyspleen.tv will be streaming/casting again for this event.

I spent about 1.5 months not editing and 3 more weeks not polishing. I collected about 11 raw moments and reviewed about all of them for this movie. About 0 of them fits well.

Strenx 2011 - The movie is just around the corner! Until we capture the final few scenes, we are pleased to present this trailer, made by Hungary Ákos "F-X" Ujfalusi! But that's not all! We have to keep up with the new technologies used in TVs and cinema, so we brought you this: The first 3D gaming movie ever!

Both this trailer and the full movie are in 3D. If you have no monitor or glasses that can handle it, don't worry, because we have an Anaglyph (red-cyan) version available for you. Just go down to the corner store and grab some paper glasses, they shouldn't cost much more than $1. However, for the truly old-school fanboys, we have a normal 2D version available.

These 3D effects wouldn't have been possible without the help of United States of America brugal, who created the mod, and Hungary Péter "mccormic" Kerülö, who got everything working. Also, mccormic is monitoring and helping with the creation process and will add some surprise scenes to the video!

The 3D mod along with a new version of WolfcamQL will be released when the movie is out!

It's EuroCup Final time for Enemy Territory as EC XXIV comes to an end. We have one big game left this year where Europe Queens take on Netherlands gaming2perfection. g2p come from the losers bracket after beating MouseCon into the Grand Final, they will need to be on top of their game to beat a talented Queens line-up twice.


The game kicks off tonight at 15:00 CDT. Don't miss out on one of the biggest games of the season! Both teams progressed well to the grand final with both finishing top of their groups and only losing a couple of rounds each. g2p of course came from the loser bracket as they lost the Winners Bracket Final 4-2 and this repeat of that game should be just as close an affair.

sK1p took the victory over AndySYS in the grand-final. Congratulations to the winner(s) and thank you to all participants.


The time has come for some good Painkiller 1on1 action.

This Sunday, on the 4th of December, the first Play More Painkiller Cup will take place on the EU servers of Painkiller. Everyone is welcome to participate in this cup. If you want to participate but don’t have Painkiller you can get yourself Painkiller Lite, a version of Painkiller designated for online-play. If you are from the US or another part of the world outside of EU you still can participate but you probably will have to live with high-ping.

At the moment there are no prizes planned for the cup, its purpose is to bring activity into the dormant PK scene and let you guys have some fun. Also I’m working to get a stream for the tournament, but so far there is nothing set up yet.


If you have suggestions or criticism go to the official forum-post!

I would like to announce 4on4 North/South American Team Death Match Tournament for the game of QuakeWorld. Mappool consists of Dm3, Dm2, E1m2, and possibly 2 other maps. Brackets will be determined on the amount of players signed up. Competition will be a 4 week 4on4 tournament and hopefully the games will be broadcasted. Beginning dates and further information can be found on http://qwsta.info

The tournament will attempt to be the most fair tournament to date. There will be captains based on the amount of players signed up. These captains will be the best in the business, so we wont have any STACKED teams. They will choose their teams through the draft and then train their teams to compete.
Anyone that is dedicated to practicing once or twice a week, and playing on Sundays is welcome to join in. Ideally if we have enough teams signed up we will be broadcasting them through justin.tv.

CALLING ALL TDM'ers. To all of you team dm'ers out there, I would like to invite you to the first ever 4on4 QuakeWorld draft league.

People from games such as WARSOW,TF2,QLIVE,CPMA,Q1,TFC, etc, would appreciate this. QuakeWorld movement is similar to these games and the competition will be a blast.

I am reaching out to these communities because of the lack of TDM in today's FPS games besides COD and BF which are very boring.
