The GameType Revolution mod team is proud to announce the release of the first version of GTR compatible with the Quake 4 1.4.2 patch. The .70 build will bring lots of new features, maps and will give the player an incredible amount of customization of the game. Some of the more important changes are:

This release of .70 was a goal we set several years back and though we are extremely happy with the current state of the mod, development will continue and we will keep improving upon the very solid base we have. And we want the community to be as involved as possible. We want your feedback, questions comments, opinions. We want to get the Quake community to be involved in the development as much as possible. With the announcement of the TONY FFA Special a few days ago we're now happy to reveal some more information about the other two Quake Live tournaments happening on DreamHack Summer 2011. 80 000 SEK will be handed out among the two different tournaments with an additional 10 000 SEK together with 2GD.

The CTF Draft 2K11 has finished without a hitch. While a small number of the 40+ players had last minute conflicts preventing them from participating, the turnout and level of commitment from eveyone was remarkable. This event was a clear indication that North American CTF is booming and the talent pool is incredibly high. Just about every match was very exciting and close, there were numerous overtimes as well. We can only hope to see more of these in the future!

The finals saw a clash of the defensive titans, resulting in Thundercats coming out on top 3-0, in VERY close games.

Important note: The JeeSports OpenCup will no longer be a bi-weekly tournament! Today the news came, during 2 months, every sunday, JeeSports will host a duel tournament with cashprize. The cashprize will grow with the amount of SignUps so be sure to join this tournament!

luxxiz had a great fight during the final but finally,

The 81th ZOTAC QL Duel Cup is taking place this Sunday 1st of May. Last week,

strenx won the cup after defeating

evil in the final.

For this edition, the map list has finally been altered after the results of the poll on ESR. The new pool consist of Aerowalk, Battleforged, Blood Run, Furious Heights, Lost World, Toxicity and Vertical Vengeance! Dismemberment and Hektik were replaced by Battleforged and Toxicity.

I sat down to gather some statistics about the current TDM maps and ended up wasting hours going into unnecessary detail, so I decided that I should at least make it worthwhile and post a little analysis and summary.

I took the match result data from the EC XXII, ESL EMS XII, ESH Full Tilt Poker Challenge (Div 1) and the currently running EC XXIII and will try to update it once in a while.
