As coverage for Quake Live TDM is next to none existent at the moment, but the ESL Major Series 7 and CB EuroCup XXII are right around the corner, I decided to take matters into my own hands and do some pre-season interviews with several well known TDM players.

Level Up TV announce the plans to celebrate their one year anniversary this November 2010; a team to travel and provide live on-site video coverage of not one, but two Dreamhack Winter 2010 Quakelive Tournaments!

1. Fnatic Play MSI BEAT-IT 1v1 Tournament on the 25th November 2010.
2. Dreamhack's own Kaspersky 1v1 Tournament on the 26th and 27th November 2010.


As an organisation, we are well aware of the difficulties that broadcasters often face when initially taking on the huge task of covering live events on-site, and as such we wouldn’t want to over promise and underachieve. However with an unquenchable thirst for coverage we can with full confidence promise to provide both our HQ and LQ livestream with special guest commentary from both pro-gamers and James "2GD" Harding (When we can get him away from the Stunlock Studios Stand!).

In addition to this, being on site will allow us to provide the supplementary video-on-demand content following the event that we've not yet previously had the opportunity to work on - such as; group interviews, Exhibition video tours and our teams evening antics to display that unique festival atmosphere DreamHack is so famous for.

The management of the IEM5 European Championship has decided to add an additional 6 slots to the European Championship group stage. This means that the groups will now have 5 players each rather than 4. The reason for this is to allow those players who had missed their national qualifiers for various reasons to have another chance to qualify. The Last Chance Qualifier 2 is taking place Sunday, October 17th at 10:00 CDT (Sign up).

The additional 6 slots will be awarded in 2 separate cups held in mid-October. The top 3 players of each cup will advance directly to the group stage. It is allowed to sign up for both cups.

The 54th ZOTAC QL Duel Cup will be played this Sunday. As usual it will consist of a SE bracket using the bo1 format until the quarter finals. So I decided to give it a go with wolfcam and I made a duel movie with footage gathered throughout the half year of 2010 I hope you enjoy it.

Major League Gaming's DC event is here featuring an impressive lineup for it's second Starcraft 2 tournament.

MLG Raleigh champion TL.HuK is here to defend his title, along with several other players from Raleigh including root.KiWiKaKi, EG.LzGaMeR, root.qxc, TL.Tyler (NonY), EG.Machine, fnatic.TTOne, and EG.iNcontroL. Three first-time MLG players who look to do well are EG.IdrA who's here before he starts GSL Season 2, and White-Ra & TL.ret to represent Europe. Brackets will be released right before the event goes live.

Like last event, all matches will have commentary by Day9 and JP, but this time will also have the addition of djWHEAT. HD and Husky are not in attendance.

The live stream can be found on the front page of MGLPro.com all weekend. The schedule is below, with the finals taking place Saturday night. Those wanting to come down to the event and watch and can do so for free at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center just outside DC.

DreamHack announced the Kaspersky Quake Live Championship a few weeks ago. Now its time to announce some more information when we add three more players to the line-up.

Update: SK-Gaming announced that rapha will be attending aswell.

Main tournament will be played during Day 2 (Friday 26/11) and Day 3 (Saturday 27/11) at DreamHack Winter 2010. Tournament is played at Tournament PCs, with professional set-up and referees. The Grand Final game is played at the DreamArena Extreme in front of 1100 people in the audience and hundreds of thousands watching the English live stream and also the Swedish live stream at SVT Play.

Today we are proud to announce three more players ready for the tournament: DaHang, fox and Cooller. They will join the reigning champion av3k who is returning to defend his title. DreamHack's Kaspersky Quake Live Championship boost a total prize purse of 70 000 SEK where the DreamHack Champion grabs 45 000 SEK.

In a surprising turn of events, compLexity Gaming’s StarCraft 2 player, Strieb “Silver” Roman has announced that he will be retiring from professional gaming. This comes after Silver was picked up by the compLexity organization barely two months ago after an impressive performance in the National ESL StarCraft 2 Cups, beating players like HuK, Qxc, and IdrA to qualify for the Intel Extreme Masters American Championships.

“In the last 6 months I have been absorbed in the competitive world of Starcraft and it has been fun,” explained Silver. “However, there comes a time when the narrow scope of a video game is not enough to sustain a man’s love of life. I have my convocation for business school at the end of this month. As much as I have enjoyed being a part of the esports community for this brief time, I now need to move on to making some of my other dreams become reality, in addition to taking care of some of my more serious responsibilities.”

Weird month for both of us. As events for QuakeLive are starting to slow back down, the GSL and other Starcraft 2 events are starting to draw in MASSIVE amounts of attention. Combined with the amazing content and VODs being released, it's been a great past month for SC2 fans. We both suggest everyone get the subscription to GomTV to check out the second GSL tournament. AND SURPRISE; BOXER IS BACK. That's right. It seems like more and more Brood War pros are jumping ship and migrating by the boat loads to the sequel.

Also, we talk about our journey into the abyss of MineCraft (it really is a great game; try it yourselves if you already haven't). We talk about the possibilities of different mixes of games and such. Just random banter. Finally, we discuss the North American IEM event that took place this last week. I'm not sure why we're even surprised anymore when the first day of a QuakeLive event is spent fixing server issues. Good showings by all the players who attended.

One last thing, entik has given us a quick peak at his latest work "It's Pekka 2" a homage to wonderful Finnish CPM player, ahxnxa. The download link is over at our site.

I only spent about 45 minutes editing this video, it's not meant to be some big frag video - just a highlight of the event itself.

I did this all in a day - finding frags, capturing, rendering, editing, exporting, encoding and uploading.

Hello,those of you who know me are prepared for what's coming. My new video from Quake 3 Arena: DeFRaG mode named JUMPING JUGGLERS. In this movie with a length of about 6 minutes there are demos played by the best CZ/SK DeFRaGers.

Music... again brisk DnB with perfect picture and music synchro. I took good care of choosing and creating filters for this movie. I think it's safe to say it's the best that can be seen from me today. The music goes nicely side by side with camera cuts and therefore I advise you to crank up the volume to fully enjoy the speed and power of this video. There is no blur in this video for better quality feeling of the game and picture.
