2010 spawned a new white knight in our hopeful and aspring

Event: EC XXII

The EuroCup match between xentorium and 4Kings was the first one in the current season. I guess most of the vieweres were seeing 4Kings as the favorite and that they will smash their opponents. But especially Mikael "PURRI" Tarvainen proved them wrong and pulled out an amazing performance for his team. Whilst he made 39 frags on Deep Inside he managed to get a few more, 46, on Dreadful Place and was the key player, who keept the scores between both teams pretty close.

Recently Paul "astz!" McGarrity has returned to the scene following a long break. The former UK Unreal Tournament Champion has switched to Quake Live, Team Dignitas interview him and find out what he has been up to and how the switch has gone.

2nd week of Nations Cup has ended, all the matches were played in time. As it was predicted four teams fell out of the tournament already :

Russia 1,

France,

Czechoslovakia,

Poland2. Unexpectedly we can see one of the strongest and oldschool polish players amongst them. Inactiveness means a lot when you come to a game with a strong opponent. But that's not the only surprising result we have this week:

Russia 2 was better than one of the strongest teams last years -

United Kingdom and is on top of the rating. Also i want to stress that

BuRussia shows really great results and will probably finish at top3 in final standings.

Last Saturday, 2nd of October, there's has been a Duel Tourney to win a free ticket to QHLAN.

We are proud to present to the ESR community our first QUAKELIVE Duel Tournament, organized by QuakeliveTorneos and played in the

Argentinean Servers.
QuakeliveTorneos is just a small group of players and enthusiasts of the Quakelive Competitive Scene that are starting to organize online competitions and leagues for South America. For this first tourney we had a 32 player pool with contestants from

Argentina,

Chile and

Brazil, with diverse skill ranges. But Only the strongest and skillest of them made it to the second stage, thanks to their history with Quake 3 and their experience in several online and LAN events in the past 10 years.

The online tournament is already taking place and it's in the second stage. The first stage had 8 groups of 4 players each, with top-seeded players and new challengers distributed among the 8 groups to make even tiers. The final stage of single-elimination brackets starts this next sunday October 10th, from quarter-finals to finals including the match for bronze. We promise that these last matches will entertain you as the top players are well in the competitive skill range.

LEVEL UP Tv will be broadcasting matches from the quarter finals and on.

Seeing how team

notexec dropped out of this EMS season we have decided to make another EMS VII qualifier with one slot left for grabs. Cup will be held at Sunday, October 10th starting at 20:00 CET. The winning team will get to play in this EMS season, starting next week.

Update: Congrats to Le Jambon Beurre for winning the cup and taking the last slot available in EMS7 season!
