The Group Stage of the ASUS ENC 2010 Quakelive TDM should see its 4th round mostly played tonight with the rest of the Group A matches and the first games from Group B. The ESL TV Quakelive show should be back tonight to cover Hungary vs Russian Federation, but the commentators haven't been announced. Here is the complete schedule for this 4th round:

Quad Gaming would like to announce two ql Quake Live CTF tournaments for United States of AmericaCanada North America and Europe Europe! These are two separate tournaments with $1,000 cash for both.

Congratulations to Shannon "zpnq" Hall on winning the final Qcon Qualifier (VODs). Fortunate for Guy "HANZ" Hampton on losing to every single player that went on to win a qualifying spot in the tournament, has been rewarded with his own as an Invite. He joins Matthew "Haymo" Hayman who also received an invite for his decent recent performance in the CyberGamer ACER LAN tournament.

It all plays down to one final spot in which a competition will be held on this Wednesday for a select few players We are also still looking forward to hopefully seeing our missing servers back online soon

The last qualifier for Kasperskys Quake Live Championship at Dreamhack Summer 2010 was finished this weekend. Sweden fox managed to pick up the spot for the tournament in a convincing way beating players like Poland bodzo and Sweden fooki to secure his spot.

The seeds and groups for the Quake Live tournament at Dreamhack Summer 2010:

The schedule has also been released. The majority of the games will be played on Saturday and Sunday, leaving only the Semi final and Grand final to be played on Monday. Note that small changes can be done to these times.

The 36th ZOTAC Quakelive cup will be played this Sunday. As usual it will consist of SE brackets using the bo1 format until the quarter finals. Then the games will be played as bo3 with the exception of the Final being played as bo5. The prize still is 100€ for 1st place!

Once upon a time, before the Millenium, a clan was formed, called the iCE cLIMBERS.

And what a legendary clan it would be…

Founded by Gopher and toxic, later enforced with Reptile, Desp, many other great players and also no other than the almighty Fox!

What you will witness within this post is a tribute to one of the greatest Quake players around: Fox, the last iCE cLIMBER! A fantastic movie made by ZeroQL, great soundtrack, nice video editing and perfect footage pays homage to the Swedish player Fox, not using frags of good old days when Fox played Quake 3, but of the reincarnation that is Quake Live.

ESH present Quake Live ONW #5: Amateur Night cup. Since QL Duel scene became stale with few players dominating all the others, ESH decided to let the amateurs get their chance to play without being owned by pros from the beginning.

Admins will have the right to deny the players who they think should not be eligible to play skill-wise, but to give you some clue which players will be allowed and which not, take a look at ZOTAC Hall of Fame. All players that finished in top 3 in any of these cups won't be allowed. Of course some others might not be allowed as well if admins feel they are too strong for this tourney.
Of course needless to say is that fake-nicking won't be allowed and all players that shouldn't be allowed but play under the different nick can be banned from ESH if spotted.

Cup is scheduled for Thursday 13:00 CDT, 10 June 2010, with sign-ups already accepted.

Update: Cup is over with final standings:

The PRO Installer 2.0 automatically downloads all the files necessary to install and play Q3 Quake 3 Arena with all the important patches, mods, maps and tools with just one click.

After the success of PRO Installer 1.0, Poland Mateusz 'mdn' Danek decided to code some additional features, graphics were done by Poland Am1go and the translation was done by Poland Mav_.

Using this program can protect newcomers against more than twenty problems that prevent connecting to the online servers.

So what if QL.TV get things wrong every now and then? Their coverage is easy going and inoffensive enough for viewers to make up their own minds about the matches. It's like whatching a sports match with friends in a bar - sometimes they make good points, other times they are just plain wrong and it's funny. Wheat on the other hand, I don't understand the hype really - I just want to slap him... 2GD is the ony really pro shout caster who knows his stuff - I feel that I've just attended a Quake advanced seminar after any of his sessions, but how many like him are you gonna find...? It's one thing understanding the game, it's another to be able to talk about it quickly and intelligently in an entertaining manner.

QL.TV: Keep up the good work :-)
