The qualification cup #1 for the EMS6 Quakelive TDM will take place tonight around 14:00 CDT after its check-ins which will start at 13:30 CDT (read more about the check-in system).

A maximum of 16 teams will be able to participate and the cup will use a single brackets and bo1 matches. The rules and map pool remain the same as the last season. The top3 teams will see themselves qualified for the EMS6.

ESports Heaven's One Night Wonder QL #2 (2 comments)

After the success of last week's Quake Live One Night Wonder Cup, ESports Heaven has decided to run a second cup tonight. The number of player slots has been set at 32 although this may be raised if there is enough interest. The tournament runs as a single elimination bracket with all games using a best-of-one format until the final. The final then switches to a best-of-three match. Once again, players are competing for bragging rights although it is expected that in the future, there will be hardware or cash prizes on offer.

QL 1v1 ESL Pro Series on ESL TV & infos (37 comments)

Update: ESL TV will stream the EMS6 Qualif Cup1 instead of EPS Germany tonight.

Tomorrow, the

German EPS 16 will see one match of its Playday 5 game streamed on ESL TV with

2GD and

Joe. Starting around 16:15 CDT, PURRI will face majo and try to get his 5th victory (match details).

Meanwhile in the

Benelux section of ESL, the games for the new EPS 4 season were announced and, sadly, Trackmania Nations was picked over Quakelive. But the admins still decided to get a "supported" EPS for QL with hardware prizes and possible LAN finals. More informations about that in draven's news.

In the

Greek EPS 6, the players are now entering the Playday 3 and oNs already lost a game to the admin! In the

UK EPS 3, they're also getting into the 3rd Playday and already 7 matches are late.

Last but not least, the final of the

Spanish EPS 6 will be played at the Reus LAN Party 2010 this coming Saturday between AllteR and Sl1p around 12:00 CDT (match details).

I know last time we tried to do a show live on Ustream and things just couldn't get pulled together in time, and an entire episode was lost. But we got everything together and we're back with friend of the show,

Rod "Slasher" Breslau, to discuss QuakeLive IEM World Championships, the upcoming QuakeCon event. We'll also talk about the StarCraft 2 beta, the upcoming PAX East convention, and other random bits of news going on in the community. The show will start at 22:00 CDT, 22 March 2010.

There's 100 € pricemoney up for grabs and since cup #2 had 331 signups and #3 had 472 signups of which 379 players participated we have decided to keep the 1024 slots for signups & 512 for check-ins.

A few weeks ago the EAS (European Amateur Series) were opened and if certain activity & signups criteria were met, an EPS (ESL

Pro Series) would get started. ESL Benelux only has a budget for 4 EPS games.

, although both communities had similar activity, is because they just had to choose something. See of it as a random pick. ESL

has. Almost about 90 signups at the EAS ladder and similar and even more activity then other games.

Therefore they decided to give Quakelive

a "supported" EPS which the following:

PURRI WON EDL #8 (31 comments)

EDL had this season 98 participants and now has finally reached the finals. Tonight at 14:00 CDT we will see big finals between

syanid and

Another year has passed since the last EDL finals, so I believe you are very tempted to see yet another awesome match between two duel masters. In the final we will see last year winner and title defender PURRI facing well known Finnish dueller Syanid. These two players already met together in EDL finals before. Not many newcomers will remember this because it happened six years ago in EDL #1. Their last meeting turned into victory for PURRI and leaving Syanid to take 2nd place.

I posted this up a while ago when we first made it, but a lot of people I am showing that visit ESR are like omg never saw it etc.

Just a small video if you are keen to get your friends interested in quake, of course it does promote the community made it but the emphasis behind the video is pretty clear.

Everything matters!

Obviously we couldn't run through every little thing that happens in quake but i'd say we picked the best ones :)

Documentation

In Mid June 2009, 4Seasons Gaming was founded by an aspiring gamer by the name of Michael, aka Mickzerofive. Longing to build a place that would be considered the hub of the Australian Quake Live scene, Mickzerofive saw an opportunity and went for it.

The first month of 4Seasons Gaming.com registered only two hundred and fifty unique visitors, with approximately eighty registered users. Disheartened but still strong willed, 4Seasons Gaming continued running Quake Live competitions and tournaments down in Australia, and like the saying goes; 'Build it and they will come'.

Sixteen duelers soon became thirty-two, which then became sixty-four and is now one hundred and twenty. Four teams became eight, then twelve, and the roster is constantly growing. The one-man organization soon became a fifteen-man team of dedicated collaborators. The community that was first created to please our Australian participants soon became a viewing portal for international players and spectators and, in January 2010, 4Seasons Gaming will register in excess of four thousand unique visitors from all around the globe.

It is through this and future videos that 4Seasons Gaming will revolutionize the way the world sees Quake Live. Get the message out that Quake Live is no longer just a place for those who are most skilled or most experienced, but a place for players of all skill levels that love all game modes.

For it is with this small act of compassion that we will inspire others to contribute to this community, and those that we inspire will motivate others in turn. Eventually, through this process we will take Quake Live to places never thought possible. When you bear witness to the end result, after seeing all the cogs in motion, you will realize that you have been a part of something great.

We thank all our followers, both Australian and International. We support all communities that support Quake around the globe. If you're thinking about doing something for the game, just do it!
