Very short movie made by myself, mostly trying out what you can do editing wise in quake(live). Content is from three days of dueling so comment what you want on that.

Yes, it's touching the Columbine Massacre, think what you want of it, it's a tragedy in more ways than most can and will imagine, but this is not a taunt towards it. Rest in piece victims from both parts.

Duration: 1:58 - the plan all along was to keep it below 3 minutes.

Work time: Well I began doing this friday, started gathering material thursday, so it's a no biggie :)

Why Columbine? I've always had a certain respect for what happened there in '99, it's sad, depressing, and worst of all, the way people reacted. Listen to what Marilyn has to say, it's words that are so true.

The CyAC QuakeLive Duel Cup #1 signups have closed. Many top asian stars have signed up for the tournament. Some of the players to keep an eye out for that have performed well in previous QuakeLive Duel Cups are:

TEK9's March Quake Live Top 10 Rankings (198 comments)

After last month's inaugural TEK-9.org Quake Live Top 10 Rankings list, which was extremely well received by the community, the March version has just been released. The rankings are based off of five journalist and broadcaster perspectives, with professional player votes being added next month.

With the Intel Extreme Masters Season 4 Championships now over, the rankings list looks quite similar to the final standings of the event, with some small differences. Everyone agrees on one point though, that

Shane "rapha" Hendrixson is currently the best Quake player in the world.

"The Russian continues to play sexy Quake, aggressive, compulsive and dynamic, whilst rapha is more calculated, precise, complex, fast thinking and much more the strategist than his rival" commented ReDeYe on the finals. djWHEAT was disappointed by the bottom half of the competition stating "I was so underwhelmed with the 7-12th place play, that I've actually given the 10th spot to Quake 3's infamous UnnamedPlayer. Hopefully that will incite some change in those who are currently just below that coveted 10th ranking spot. "

ENC Quakelive teams & qualifications (62 comments)

During the IEM IV World Finals, the ESL published the list of the Quakelive TDM teams which will take part in the qualification process of the ASUS ENC 2010. The Qualification Round 1, which will consist of 3 matches and 3 w/o, should start next week.

The winners of QR1 will play against the teams in QR2. Then the winners of QR2 will meet the teams of QR3. Finally, the winners of QR3 will be qualified for the regular season. 6 nations are getting a direct invitation and won't need to get into the qualification process.

Benelux section has announced the second game for its fourth ESL Pro Series season. At long last,

Call of Duty 4 is lucky enough to be included, as it appears. Efforts by the game's

Benelux community seems to pay off now, as this supreme competition platform has been opened for them as well now.

Call of Duty 4 featured in the Benelux EPS Season 4

10/03/2010 - Just over a week after the announcement of the 4th season of the Benelux ESL Pro Series, in cooperation with both Intel and Dell, two out of the total of four ESL Pro Series games have been announced by ESL Benelux up till now. Call of Duty will be featured for the first time in this season alongside with the veteran game Counter-strike 1.6, which has been part of the Benelux ESL Pro Series since the first season and two, yet to be announced, games.

This big announcement means that the Call of Duty 4 scene step has reached the next level in the Benelux section of the Electronic Sports League. After the announcement of the ESL Amateur Series merely weeks ago, the best teams the Benelux has to offer will battle each other in the ESL Pro Series for cash prizes. These teams will all battle each other in a premiership and, in the end, the top 4 teams will compete in the finals for a cash prize.

Statement Camille "quakeriX" Versteeg, National Head ESL Benelux:
"Call of Duty has always been on our wishlist. Today, the community and the admin team made it possible to add it. All though the prize money has not been announced yet I want to point out that WSquared Media(Benelux) has not the same budgets as Turtle-Entertainment. I hope the community can understand this and show me how great COD4 can be and become. If we are able to grow as a community, we can do the same thing to its prize money."

Statement Dennis "Sumera" Winkel, National Master Admin ESL Benelux:
"This news is a great step in the right direction for both the Call of Duty scene, as our local Call of Duty 4 competition. During the last month we've experienced a rapid growth in activity and competition among our leagues. We clearly noticed that the community is motivated and dedicated to make this happen and we have rewarded their activity and dedication by featuring Call of Duty 4 in our upcoming ESL Pro Series season. Their task now is to keep up their motivation, activity and dedication within the Benelux Call of Duty 4 scene, to make sure that this would not only be the first, but also the last appearance of Call of Duty 4 in the EPS."

The only way to qualify for the ESL Pro Series is the ESL Amateur Series. There will be no last minute qualifier cups or last chances this season. The deadline and how many EAS teams will qualify for the playoffs is to be announced.

We were waiting for two years, and now the time has come. The biggest Defrag tournament continues its history with the 2010 edition. As you may already know, the most recent DeFrag World Cups were organized by

<Nemesis> and

TiTAN from Breakdown-HQ, the most popular Defrag site online. However, since these two guys don't have much time for the game they love so much, we welcome a new organizer, the great mapper and Defrag player,

GT-Agressor. As the breakdown scripts need to be modified and there's no one to do that,

[cJs]ScOuT made a new engine for the cup.

Most of the rules weren't changed, and the descriptions of all the stuff you aren't allowed to do will be added soon. You can enlist for the cup until Sunday, March 28th. One player can participate in both solo VQ3 and solo CPM. Also, it is possible to play in one team as a VQ3 or a CPM player.

Russia's Quake maestro

Anton "Cooller" Singov talks in a video interview following his semi-final victory at the IEM IV World Championship. In that series Cooller managed to defeat

Maciej "av3k" Krzykowski for the first time in a playoff series, with the Pole being a player who has been the thorn in his side eliminating him at each of the last two major events.

Cooller talks about his dodging as well as addresses the recent controversy over restarts in his IEM IV European Final match-up with av3k which prompted the younger player to speak out in a recent interview. This time though Cooller is of the conclusion that he was the lucky one in coming through the semi-finals.
