Quake Live groups for CB NC CTF and TDM were announced yesterday. Since there has been some delay for a few days, first match week will start Mon 8 February, so all captains should schedule their matches by the end of the week.

This interview was made at the CGS World finals (2007) and was intended to be published in the 3rd issue of Pro Gam3r Magazine which was never released. I found it yesterday and I thought it was still interesting enough to publish today.

In a news story on CNNMoney, it's been revealed that PrismOne Group, Inc., a tech business based in Orlando, Florida, has recently made a definite agreement to purchase Professional Interactive Entertainment Corp and its related entities, the GGL, at $2.5 million dollars of initial financing.


More details should be revealed about the purchase in the coming weeks.

Sign-ups are now open for Quake America Weekly Duel Cup #2, scheduled to start Saturday, February 6th at 19:00 CDT!

Please keep in mind changes are being made to the rules at this time, do not expect any of them to be final at this moment.

Updates will be posted pending those rule changes.

Also, remember that this is the Sign-Up phase. On the day of the tournament there will be a Check-In phase where players will verify they are present. If you miss either the Sign-Up or the Check-In, you will not be put into the bracket for Duel Cup #2.

Only four weeks left until the ESL Intel Extreme Masters World Championships will take place in Hannover, Germany. Twelve Quake Live players from all over the world (6 from Europe, 4(1) from Americas, 2 from Asia) will fight over $20,000 prize money. The World Championships will be played in two groups of six players each, the top three of each group will advance to the playoffs. In the playoffs the second placed will face off against the third placed, while the first placed players will get a bye into the semi finals.


The World Championship Finals will take place from 2. March until 6. March and a detailed schedule about the event will be released soon. Next Friday the Asian Championships will start in Taipei with players like proZaC, Jibo and uNleashed. Full coverage will be posted later this week.
