Averatec-Intel Classic Season 3 will run for 20 weeks from March 29, 2009. Unlike most of the other StarCraft leagues, there will be no preliminary matches, all matches are considered as a part of the knockout tournament. Averatec-Intel Classic Season 3 will be broadcasted live in English by Korea (Republic of) Daniel "SuperDanielMan" Lee, Mexico "SuperRageMan" & United States of America Nick "Tasteless" Plott.
In the round-of-8 GOMtv will only show 2 matches in a best-of-3 format on each Sunday. The Semi-Finals and Final aswell as the Match for 3rd place will be played in best-of-5:

United States of America Artosis goes into detail and covers things like the recent ESI League winner, recent SC2GG Star League winner, the Valor tournament and some recent drama in that, Tip of the Week, Starcraft 2 and all those updates, Pro League, as well as what we’ll be showing next week.

Tonight will see the end of the ESL Spring League with its Grande Final opposing Germany Felix "mTw.smoke" Pafel and United Kingdom Aaron-Anton "dignitas/HELL" Jones. The cup started back in March and featured 320 duelers from all over Europe.

A streaming from ESL TV will be available in order to follow the match with comments from James "2gd" Harding and Joseph "Joe" Miller.

The Episode 6 of Arenas, "Last Stand", is now available exclusively on own3D.tv in three quality formats, including HD 720p. There are also subtitles available in English and Russian (check the flags below the video player).

Tritin Films has produced and animated Arenas: The Episodes - re-creation of the Quake 3 Arena and Doom 3 worlds, previously known as "Quake Rebellion". By following the character's action from gladiators to their pre-arena stories, we bring to life the full evolution of the Quake III Arena universe and all of it's icons. If you missed the previous episodes you can watch them in the official Arenas channel.

Episode 6 - "Last Stand" - Doom finds himself in the gladiator lobby with his first challenger, Visor. They share a story about the unconscious gladiator who revolves in the revival chamber. The story of Sarge.

As mentioned last week in the Starcraft Weekly show, hosted by United States of America Artosis, we would be going to the Korea (Republic of) WeMade FOX house where we would then do a video tour of the building, get an interview with Korea (Republic of) NaDa, Korea (Republic of) Pure, and Korea (Republic of) Moon from Warcraft 3. We did all of this, and here is the first part of the adventure!

NaDa opens up and tells us some things that aren't usually heard in normal interviews, one has to think that it might be due to his age and him being around for a long time, when compared to younger gamers who seem more shy and give similar answers to one another.

After the end of Week#7, BiBs will go on with the Playoff-Stage for Season I.

The news gets bigger, as QuakeLive TV has agreed to take up on the complete coverage of the Semi-Finals and Final matches. These matches will be set for an appropriate timeso that both the USA and the EU can have a fair chance of spectating.

The Playoffs will consist of the initial Brackets which will include the top 8 teams of the League, the Semi-Finals, and the grand Final match.

Brian "DKT" Flander has been a part of eSports for as long as many can remember. DKT is not only famous for his championships as a UT player, he's been a part of multiple successful Counter-Strike teams such as zEx and TSG as well as having his own cloth mousepad - the well-known DKT Pad. In addition to being a top player in multiple games, he was the general manager of the Chicago Chimera franchise, who won the CGS (DirecTV's Championship Gaming Series) Season 1 championship.
Hailing from Canada, Justin "sparks" Sparks recently participated in the Quake Live Canada versus USA shootout match where the underdogs of Canada surprised the powerhouse USA team in a 2-1 victory. Who enjoys the League format? Playing a scheduled match once every 3-4 days? It's a way for the serious and the casual gamer to play in an organized competition. If you play you may advance and if you do not play, you get tossed out on your a$$, it's a way to get rid of those annoying inactive players. I am a fan of the League Format and am happy to announce that we will once again be organizing a League Tournament. Our current league system is being rebuilt and does not currently work but we are still going to put on a "For Fun" League to keep you guys active in the communities. Our first League comeback attempt will be for Quakelive and we'll have a competition for the 4 major mods, 4v4 CTF, 4v4 CA, 4v4 TDM and 1v1 DM.

id Software and the QuakeCon organization today announced that QuakeCon 2009, the ultimate video game festival, party, and tournament, is changing venues to the Gaylord Texan, located just north of United States of America Dallas. The four-day event will occur over the previously scheduled dates of August 13rd–16th 2009. The Gaylord Hotel was the site of the two largest previous QuakeCon events in 2004 and 2005. As always, the event is FREE and open to the public thanks to the support of id Software, the QuakeCon volunteer staff, and the 2009 event sponsors and exhibitors.
