Finding the best CSGO gambling sites in 2019 is not that easy. CSGO gambling has had a chequered past to say the least, with many sites being shut down and penalised because of illegal activity.

There is clearly a demand among some Counter-Strike lovers to bet on their favourite game but for the sector to be sustainable long-term, CSGO gambling sites must comply with the laws - primarily for the safety and security of esports fans but also for the sake of themselves.

6 Maps in 6 Weeks #3: Bloodlust CTF (139 comments)
Posted by Nukm @ 09:07 CDT, 2 June 2009 - iMsg
The third week of id id software's campaign "6 Maps in 6 Week" brings us another ctf map. Here is official release announcement that covers Bloodlusts background and information about the next map:
In 1999, id Software contracted two young developers, Michael "Casey" Goodhead and Dave "Zoid" Kirsch (known collectively as "Threewave" to create 3 Capture the Flag arenas for QUAKE III Arena. The first in this 3-pack was called Bloodlust - and now the source from which we bring you our week 3 release. In revisiting this map over the last couple of months, the team here decided to make some renovations before releasing it in QUAKE LIVE, and we're very happy with the additions, changes, and polish we've been able to contribute. Bloodlust is perfectly suited for 8 to 10 players and rewards teamwork.

Our long-time friend Casey continues to bring his talents to the game industry as the Game Design Director at Threewave Software.

Although we've now released back-to-back CTF arenas, next week's release will certainly quench the thirst of our Duelers. Stay tuned.

Microsoft announces Project Natal (169 comments)
Posted by Paladia @ 17:08 CDT, 1 June 2009 - iMsg
It's not often we cover consoles here at ESReality but at times you see technological advances that you simply can't help not writing about.

Project Natal, which was just announced at E3, is basically a facial, voice and motion recognition system for the XBOX 360. In one of the demonstration videos, we see a girl interacting with a digital boy on the screen, Milo. The digital boy reacts to what the girl says and they seem to be able to hold a conversation while they follow each others movements. As the video progresses, the real girl can actually see herself transmitted into the game. Then she decides to draw a picture to Milo, so she draws a picture on a piece of real paper, passes it to the TV and the boy actually grabs it, seemingly holding the picture in his hands, inside the TV..

See what Steven Spielberg calls "a historical moment".

This week I brought in the experts to give their opinions on the situation with LAN events, not only in the US but worldwide and what the gamers can do to help bring the good ol' LAN event back. Back to help us out is ceppy, who helped run QuakeCon and ESWC 08. Also joining us is Dave "killdashnine" Derington the organizer of Warfactory, whose also worked for CPL, ESWC and MLG.

A fairly long and extensive discussion of the state of LANs across the world, and what the gamers need to remedy the problem. We also talk about how Warfactory got its start, and reminisce about the high points of gaming.

Head on over to Ready Up Radio to download the podcast.
StarCraft2 planned for release this year (21 comments)
Posted by raul @ 09:13 CDT, 1 June 2009 - iMsg
Mike Morhaime yesterday announced at the Activision Blizzard pre-E3 conference, that the release of the highly anticipated StarCraft 2 is planned for this year:
We're targeting an end of year release, this year, for StarCraft 2, but as always, we won't release it until it meets our standards and the expectations of our players.
The first episode of the StarCraft 2 trilogy will be Terrans: Wings of Liberty. It will contain the "human race" single player, and a full multiplayer including all three races. Last month the Blizzard staff created a thread on the official Battle.Net forum with informations on how to participate in the StarCraft 2 (Diablo and WarCraft Universe as well) beta test. You will need at least one original Blizzard game key to proceed. Of course registration won't give you a sure ticket to participate in the beta.

What Makes a Competitive Game? (260 comments)
Posted by Terbo @ 21:45 CDT, 26 May 2009 - iMsg
All games can be described as involving the manipulation of game pieces in a game space. The pieces are defined as all of those things which the players have direct control over; the player’s avatar and weapons in an FPS, the pieces on one side in chess, or the player’s own body and any extensions of it, such as a racket or stick, in a physical game. The game space consists of the place in which the pieces exist and are allowed to move, and all those things within it which are not under the sole, direct control of any player, such as armour and health pickups in an FPS or the ball in any number of physical games.

I'm in no way affiliated with this website but I thought this was an ESReality worthy article.

Why fire_bot left the Major Series (85 comments)
Posted by swine @ 03:09 CDT, 26 May 2009 - iMsg
Lithuania Viaceslavas 'fire_bot' Duk played a perfect qualification tournament for the Major Series where he beat players like Germany Peter 'cYmoZz' Sellmaier. He also managed to beat Czech Republic Milos 'Zubb' Zubal in his first group match, but still fire_bot left the competition very surprisingly. fragster spoke with him about the reasons and his future in the Quake-scene.

The EMS might be the last big Quake 3 tournament. Isn't it frustrating to leave such a high quality competition in that way?

fire_bot: How many times people will tell - every time when any game is published - that Quake 3 is going to die? Many, many times! It's the same here: There will be less or more tournaments... So don't panic. But I'm not frustrated because of leaving the competition but because of not playing Cooller. It was my dream to play against him since 2002. Can you imagine how I feel after my decision now? That's right, I feel pretty bad.
