Finding the best CSGO gambling sites in 2019 is not that easy. CSGO gambling has had a chequered past to say the least, with many sites being shut down and penalised because of illegal activity.

There is clearly a demand among some Counter-Strike lovers to bet on their favourite game but for the sector to be sustainable long-term, CSGO gambling sites must comply with the laws - primarily for the safety and security of esports fans but also for the sake of themselves.

Newbie 2 Lama Tournament (13 comments)
Posted by Hawr1x @ 10:58 CST, 22 February 2009 - iMsg
This news is dedicated to all the newbies and beginners in QuakeLive.cz Quake Live. Quake.cz Czech Quake is about to hold a Newbie 2 Lama Tournament, it will be the lowest level of our competitions in Quake Live.

ID Software announced that Quake Live will enter its Open Beta on 24th February and everybody will be free to join this game. Right now we would like to invite all players that are afraid to join "big actions" and are not sure about their level. Because no professional and advanced players can play in the tourney, so we might expect some fair games. Second reason is that Hawr1x ran out of opponents, since he is borderline between newbies and lamas and everybody around beats him! We will use this tournament to explain basic tactics and strategies in Quake Live and notice basic mistakes new players are usually doing. The deadline to sign up is set to 28th February and basic groups will start on 1st March!

If you want to participate, feel free to write and email to czechquake@gmail.com:
Title: N2L - Name "Nick" Surname
Text: Nationality , ICQ , IRC , Interest in TDM & building clan ( YES / NO )

At this point there are two groups, the first is dedicated to Czech Republic Czech and Slovakia Slovakian players. The second should be the Central European Division, but seems to me more like a Poland Polish Divison. Here is the players list. If you think there should also be Nordic, Western, Eastern and Southern Divisions and you capable of running this type of competition for your region, let me know!

Scheduled: 08:00 CST, 22 February 2009 to 15:00 CST, 22 February 2009
Schedule: Passed

Since the first Quake 3 Revoluzzers Cup more than two months have passed and the community's discussion about renewing the map pool of big tournaments like ESWC is more alive than ever. The goal of this duel cup is to make more players familiar with maps that aren't played in usual tournaments and to test their usability for bigger competitions. For this reason, gameplay will again be vq3.

The second edition of this cup will be held today, starting at 09:00 CDT and finishing in the evening. If you want to participate, just sign up on the website now and don't forget to check in shortly before the beginning. This cup is mostly for the European community, but every player can participate if he is willing to play on European servers.

Note: For each round until the semi finals, maps are forced, which means that players can not choose maps themselves, but have to play the maps that are given for the specific round. Check the website for further rules and details. Tournament system (single/double elimination / group phase) will be determined according to the number of participants. If you are a server admin and want to support this cup with a server, please contact me.

Quakeworld Duel League: Season 2 (6 comments)
Posted by Stev @ 06:48 CST, 21 February 2009 - iMsg
After a first season with 208 players playing up to 9 matches each across 25 divisions, the Quakeworld Duel League is back to provide a competitive platform for people of close to equal skill to compete against each other for the coveted title of division champion.

Last season saw the greatest players face off against each other in Division 0, while people completely new to the game picked up their rocket launchers for the first time in Division 24, and this season promises to be no different.

A total of 104 players have already signed up, and signups close on Thursday the 26th of February. The season will start at the beginning of March, and players will be required to play one match per week until the season ends.

For those curious about the game, a full quake package, containing the constantly developed EZQuake client along with modern textures and models, can be found at nquake.com. Any problems or questions about the league can be addressed in #qwdl.

DFM Ejected From FD 2v2 Cup (719 comments)
Posted by nineX @ 22:51 CST, 20 February 2009 - iMsg
After extensive review of game footage, the thought-to-be winners of the FragDominant 2v2 Tournament, DaFoneMen (walter and kgb), have been ejected from the competition and lose their title as tournament champions, due to "suspicious circumstances" surrounding the match. The finals will now be replayed between 3rd place finishers, Chronic Insanity (whaz & plague) and Because of Parkinsons (griffin & bLt), leaving Team Darkside (cha0ticz & hoens) as the official 3rd place finishers.

Head on over to Frag Dominant for the official story. Further details regarding coverage of the final will be released shortly. Check back for dates & times.

Admin statement in full by Syn- (Tournament Director)
Excerpt: "The finals were over turned by Razer|Nomadic, representive of the lead sponsor of the tournament (Razer) and one of the tournament organizers. All prizes are coming through him so there is absolutely nothing I can do about him over-turning the result of an event I worked extremely hard to get completed with a good amount of coverage for both the players and spectators alike. So I believe my frustration over this is clear."
Statement from Razer (See comments #637, #638 & #643):
"We recognize that there is a conflict of interest with Nomadic being both an admin and a competitor and we will respect and support any decision that comes from the Q3 Cup Staff regarding the tournament's final outcome."

For those of you who saw the recent and much lauded Pro-gaming documentary FRAG there is a detailed analysis of the movie over at WinOut. Any documentary which claims in its promotional materials to bring the viewer the "true story of professional video gaming" is billing itself as something quite spectacular indeed.

All the major elements of this documentary go under the microscope from performance enhancing drug use to the difficult nature of gamers' relationships with their parents. The five page analysis comes from a highly critical perspective, breaking down each of the major topics addressed in the documentary and outlining problems the author had with their portray. Ebert & Roeper this ain't!
