This Saturday the finals of the £30,000 first season of the ESL ESL Pro Series in the UK takes place in London, featuring the country's best Counter-Strike: Source and Call of Duty 4 teams.

Why am I posting this on ESReality? Because next season, in addition to the two games from this season, will also feature a duel game!

The duel game was announced, it's Q3 Quake 3! In addition, there will also be Trackamania Nations Forever. Details about qualification will come in the next few days.

If you happen to be in the London area this weekend, why settle for for a stream when you can be there in person for the announcement. Entry is free with a flyer! More details are available at esl.eu.

Death spent some time to do truly random groups using random.org. Yay!

The next competitions of the Quake Nations Cup are starting really soon. Quake Live and Quake 4 are coming up. Quake 2 and QuakeWorld are still in phase of sign-ups and what is going on in Quake 3 is available in several great coverages all around.


QuakeLive.cz Quake Live is hosting 16 teams divided into 4 groups. There will be one qualifier round for B Squads of United Kingdom and Poland.
- This game is supposed to be played on Monday. You can find out more at #QL.cz IRC channel
q4cz Quake 4 welcome 5 nations and there will only be one group, in which all teams will face each other. 4 teams will advance to play-off.
- Quake Live and Quake 4 matches will be casted in CzEnglish, if you know somebody, who can do it in real English, let us know.
q3cz Quake 3 The admins will face a challenge this Sunday, because there are 7 games going on almost simultaneously.
- Be sure to check schedule and place some bets!
q2cz Quake 2 seems to be somehow canceled, because there aren't enough teams.
- I don't know nothing about the Quake 2 scene to be true, but if team captains would like to play Nations Cup in Quake 2, let me know and we might figure out how to start this competition as well.
qwcz QuakeWorld sign ups are almost ove with 7 teams in, we may expect some great games there.

A little less than 1 week after the Stamina 1 finals took place, we are proud to announce the results of the top 4, but before we get to that, thanks go out to the 300+ people who participated in this open tournament. It was a long month for some, but I’m sure it was well worth it.

Thanks go out to Fnatic.Ash for helping players during the event when there were lag issues, thanks go to ICCUP for of course letting us hold the event on their server, thanks to PsyonicReaver and MoleTrap for casting some of the VODs, and last but not least, thanks to Artosis for not only running this event but casting most of the VODs himself.


The complete VOD list looks like this (There are spoilers within this list of games. Some of the matches only lasted for 2 games instead of 3, so you will find that in some of the matches there will a fake 3rd game listed so you don't know the results right away.):

Out of the 40+ people who submitted their entry to this contest, there were only 2 people who came close to guessing correctly. Most people had F91 in their top 3. Unfortunately, there is no winner for this contest as nobody guessed correctly.

What happens to the $50? The money will be added to the next Stamina tournament contest where you will be able to guess the top 3 from that event, which means the contest prize is being raised to $100.

The r3spect 4v4 Tournament is soon coming to the final showdown. Tonight at 15:30 CDT, you can watch the second semi-final of the upper bracket. The first semi-final was won by Europe miel who defeated the players from Europe wreCkamob. This one will see Slovakia Satan's Proxies and Poland Team Poland fighting for a ticket to the UB final. Feel free to bet for your favorite!

Hello everyone, here it is: A fragmovie created by Serbia zeroQL

First of all, this was a gift for his brother Kyle. Happy B-day Brate! The movie contains lot of frags from TDM, CTF, DUEL and ClanArena by one of the best TDM players of Netherlands: Netherlands Silencep. All frags are done in OSP not in CPMA/vq3, so this is an old-school movie.

The second Challenges Exhibition match will take place soon pitting Swedish Superstar LocKtar vs the Danish jerry who was a member of arguably the greatest Quakeworld clan; Flaming Fist.

Although jerry is not known for his dueling skills, he has been a dueller his entire QW career which has spanned multiple years, fellow FF members dag and pietro were both great TDM'ers and Duelers and I recall jerry kicking some ass in duels also.

jerry dropped off of the 'Quake' world many years ago but I for one am glad to see him back in action. He played Counterstrike for a while and then served his country in the Military. jerry vows to put forth a great effort in this match even though he has only 2 weeks practice vs LocKtar who is at the top of his game right now.

The match is scheduled for 14:00 CST, 22 January 2009 and will possibly be cast by SyN; formerly of iTG. The match will be streamed on QuakeWorld.nu Live and it will of course be available on QTV.

There is a small pre=game interview with jerry and LocKtar over at CHTV

Due to popular demand we have chosen to release the entire article at once earlier today as we feel people were getting tired with the waiting. This of course means you will be given quite a lot to read all at once about Magnus Olsson in Quake 3 and Quake Live as well as how he thinks the future of Quake looks like.

On top of that there are some general questions as well who deal with Quake and his short time in Team Fortress 2. Most of the events of 2008 are dealt with in detail and what he felt about his performance.

To close things off, this also means the competition will go live now with a total of five questions asked for you to figure out (some answers will be found in the interview somewhere and some will have to be found on the world wide web):

Week 1: How tall is Magnus "fox" Olsson (in cm)?
Week 2: Under which team did fox and proZaC play together in TDM?
Week 3: How many times did fox place top5 in all Quake IV 1on1 events he attended?
Week 4: What is the full name of Magnus his girlfriend?

The three people who answered the most questions correctly will be given one of the following three prizes:

Big news in the Wolfenstein world! Crossfire and Impact gaming have announced the second inaugural ET Masters. In the first few days we've seen an impressive amount of activity from the ET scene, with a plethora of clans showing interest and we've already 84 teams signed up to the competition - this is going to be a major event!

The ET Masers concept was originally created by United Kingdom Impact gaming, and they've since teamed up in a joint venture with Crossfire Crossfire to entertain even more players and offering more slots and more prize money to create a tournament to remember.

Roused by the announcement, a few partners have since joined the fray offering support of additional prizes for all the leagues, including game servers, ESL TV premium accounts and more yet to be announced.


Summary
Crossfire Crossfire and Europe GamesTV.org will be teaming up once again to provide coverage including all the hottest news on the competition every day and giving the opportunity to tune in to most matches live on ET's fantastic TV feature ETTV. It's also our intention to get TosspoT and QuadV QuadV casting the top matches live on their video stream.

The tournament will have two divisions, the first being the Masters division, an invite only league with a few places going to the qualifiers, offering prize money for 16 teams to participate and a second division for as many teams as possible the chance to play in groups of up to 8 teams.
