Finding the best CSGO gambling sites in 2019 is not that easy. CSGO gambling has had a chequered past to say the least, with many sites being shut down and penalised because of illegal activity.

There is clearly a demand among some Counter-Strike lovers to bet on their favourite game but for the sector to be sustainable long-term, CSGO gambling sites must comply with the laws - primarily for the safety and security of esports fans but also for the sake of themselves.

B-Cut - Savior the hero (16 comments)
Posted by PuertoRican @ 02:46 CST, 16 January 2009 - iMsg
Going into the first round of the Lost Saga MSL 2009 season, Savior was a heavy underdog in his first match, which was against his arch nemesis Bisu.

Bisu had a 5-1 record going into the match against Savior, and was also the reigning 3 time MSL champion. This didn't worry the Zerg king at all as he was well prepared to face anyone.

Savior was able to defeat Bisu by heavily damaging his economy to slow him down and put him behind, followed up by mass hydralisk drops into the main base and expansions of his opponent. The game ended with Savior dropping hydralisks in the final Protoss expansion and blocking the ramp with a morphing lurker egg to keep any units from getting in. While Bisu still had a sizable army left, Savior had destroyed the very last pylon to end the game and force a GG from Bisu.

Rocket Arena 1.80 released (112 comments)
Posted by lowje @ 15:41 CST, 15 January 2009 - iMsg
After a long time, the Rocket Arena 1.80 Final version of this famous mod is now available. For all the Rocket Jumpers out there here are tweaked maps, bug fixing and new features.

This version is based on the opensource engine ioQuake3, a progressive q3 engine built with OpenAL sound. RA3 use now its own .exe file to start, that contains a reference to a standalone version in the future. Also the path to config files and screenshots has changed because of ioQuake3.

You need to create a new folder with a copy of your updated baseq3 folder.
Quick way to Install

The new good things are:
- Coach Support
- Picture in Picture Window System (multiscreen not only for coach)
- Map Fixing (some fix tested on the Beta2-Mappack)
- Smoke Trails can be colored by the currently set team colors
- Smooth progressive movement through ioQuake3 engine
- Hitsounds on/off function
- Option to change the roundlimit time

new full ChangeLog

Some help is also available at the chaosbunnies site. For example you found there a new file that could reduce laggs and improve performance, a new readme and helping commands.

UKeSA doesnt have a duel game (91 comments)
Posted by ReDeYe @ 13:10 CST, 14 January 2009 - iMsg
UKeSA, launched in late 2008 with the goal of unifying the UK esports scene in multiple games and platforms and offering up prize money via their official leagues, announced over 20 games for their first season yesterday.

The glaring omission was a duelling game, but luckily UKeSA have offered the community a chance to prove that they should add one. Ideally they will add a version of Quake 3, until Quake Live is ready to go and you can help ensure that Quake and a dueller has a chance to be part of the first season.

Cadred.org has an official poll on the site here : http://www.cadred.org/Forums/Poll/48756/

Simply sign up to the site (sorry, its the only way you can vote) and cast your vote in a positive light. We will be passing the results to UKeSA over the weekend.

meet the legend Magnus "fox" Olsson - Q4 (41 comments)
Posted by Bocerbo @ 14:23 CST, 11 January 2009 - iMsg
This week the attention shifts from Quake III to Quake IV, from its immediate release until the last real competitive event one year later. Magnus "fox" Olsson shares his view on the different events and more in particular about how he placed at them and how he felt the game stacked up to its older brother, Quake III.

This is one of the questions you can read in this week's edition:
The Intel Summer Championships lurked around the corner immediately after and somehow it seemed all the attention had shifted over to toxjq and Ztrider, who was a rising talent by then, in the Swedish scene, did you experience this as well?
One of the following prizes can still be won if you enter in the competition, each week we ask a question and after six times the person who managed to answer the most questions correctly will win one of these prizes:

1. Radeon HD 4850 (RV770PRO)
2. GeIL Evo One DDR2 (4GB)
3. Sennheiser HD515 Headphones

Thus far we have already have two rounds and we everyone already had time to look for answers on the following questions:

Week 1: How tall is Magnus "fox" Olsson (in cm)?
Week 2: Under which team did fox and proZaC play together in TDM?

and if you want to stay in the running for one of these prizes then be sure to check out the third question.

The interview as well as the full details concerning the competition can be found on LowLandLions.com.

Intel's ExtremeGameFaces website just released four new "Ask A Pro" videos featuring United States of America Chance "chance" Lacina (shot at ESWC Masters), Canada Tom "Griffin" Wall (shot at ESWC Masters), and United States of America Annie "Ecstacy" Leung (shot at ESWC Grand Finals). Questions range from Chance's opinion on QuakeLive to Annie's practice regimen in UT3, so there should be a little something for everyone.

readmore.de interviews Carmac (86 comments)

The german esport site Germany readmore released an interesting interview with the popular e-sport journalist Poland Carmac. The polish pope of competitive gaming is questioned about his departure of SK-Gaming, his sight on the current state of e-sports and his future plans.

Germany readmore.de: So what are your expectations for 2009? Will eSports grow? Will it suffer due to a worldwide economic downturn?

Poland Carmac: Unfortunately, I think we are all going to suffer and we can see by what happened with the WC3L and the NGL that we're all going to have to try and adjust. We will not see teams getting sponsorships as easily and the same goes for tournament organisers. But that's not all bad, you know. When it's tough, companies need to think of how to work better and more efficiently. Harsh times are an impulse to maximise efficiency, to improve yourself. Teams will have to come up with better ways of attracting sponsorship and in the long run it's for the better. At least eSports will be get rid of incompetent people that don't run their business the way they should. It's not like eSports will die or anything like that. Esports has always grown thanks to people, not money, so that process is not going to stop so easily. Even despite the crisis I think that we will have a very interesting year. I will try to see to it personally, my man!

If you got interested on this fascinating individual's thoughts on competitive gaming, head over to the readmore for the full interview.
Zubich banned for life (217 comments)
Posted by Legie @ 11:32 CST, 9 January 2009 - iMsg
A few months ago, Spain Sombra was found guilty of cheating in the Euro Open Cup with proofs he provided himself. This year we had to go over this kind of situation again in the Quake Nations Cup Q3 TDM. The captain of the Russian team, Russia Zubich, was proved guilty of cheating in the match against the Austrian team.

The whole admin team carefully checked his demos and we are now all convinced that he was using cheats. Therefor we decided to give Austria Austria a default win (worth 3 points) for this match. Since the Russian players (from team fall1) also watched his demos, approved of the cheating and apologized to me, I won't penalize the Russian team but only its captain, Russia Zubich. He is now banned from the quakequickcup.com and quake.cz tournaments. Team Russia will remain in the Nations Cup and its new captain is now ChinaRussia Zhibo "Jibo" Fan.

He is also added on my list of cheaters
