Finding the best CSGO gambling sites in 2019 is not that easy. CSGO gambling has had a chequered past to say the least, with many sites being shut down and penalised because of illegal activity.

There is clearly a demand among some Counter-Strike lovers to bet on their favourite game but for the sector to be sustainable long-term, CSGO gambling sites must comply with the laws - primarily for the safety and security of esports fans but also for the sake of themselves.

Why the CGS is dead (68 comments)
Posted by mahmoodsdotjpg @ 20:53 CST, 21 November 2008 - iMsg
Many ESReality readers greeted the news of United States of America Championship Gaming Series' death with open arms. Whether or not you enjoyed the news, I've attempted to shed some light on the issue over at GGL Wire.

It seems that United States of America Kim Kardashian's ass and Playboy bunny chests contributed heavily (no pun intended) to the situation. Here's an excerpt:

The rest likely went toward paying for the draft at the Playboy mansion in season one, paying Fatal1ty to commentate matches, compensating an array of faceless executives, travel budgets, video production efforts including renting studio time at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, CA and other expenses we'll never know about.

In season two, CGS continued the PR stunts with a VIP party including Reggie Bush and Kim Kardashian (who were undoubtedly paid to show off their bling and huge ass, respectively), and expanded from 10 to 16 franchises, absorbing new salary, travel, and website costs in the process.

For more info on the shenanigans and some opinion from me, hit the full article at GGL Wire.
Review: Roccat Kone mouse (49 comments)
Posted by mahmoodsdotjpg @ 12:19 CST, 20 November 2008 - iMsg
You may know Roccat from its sponsorship of the Finland Team Roccat Counter-Strike squad, but what you may not know is that it has recently released a new mouse called the Kone.

Shaped ergonomically for right-handers, the Kone seeks to challenge the MS/Logi/Razer hegemony in the gaming mouse market.

Here's an excerpt from our review:

A majority of the Kone is covered with rubberized plastic that should help your grip. Underneath, you will find an ample amount of teflon surrounding the weight insert and sensor. One thing to note about the sensor: it’s almost dead-center on the mouse, unlike the sensors on some other gaming mice these days.

Depending on your style, this can be good or bad–gamers who hold the mouse with the palm but articulate at the wrist as well will probably like it, as inside and outside motions made with the wrist will result in similar curves of the cursor.

Good? Bad? You decide.

Those of you who want to complain about Counter-Strike can stop reading now. Those of you who know Sweden Andreas "bds" Thorstensson, the coder of the good old "biohazard" XSReality site, may be find the interview below interesting.

The Swede became an influential figure in CS after he brought in his team to SK Gaming and went on to build the most successful lineup in the game's history. Today he runs SK together with Germany Alex "TheSlash" Mueller. In the interview, he talks about this, the '08 team and esports in general.

CGS Shuts Down (334 comments)
Posted by SyXz @ 12:49 CST, 18 November 2008 - iMsg
Cadred Cadred broke the news earlier this evening that CGS The Championship Gaming Series has shut down. This has now been confirmed by the CGS.

Press release:

AN IDEA WHOSE TIME CAME TOO EARLY

Today BSkyB, STAR and DIRECTV ended their Championship Gaming Series® (CGS) joint venture.

While the concept was ahead of its time and we are extremely proud of what we’ve accomplished, it became increasingly clear as this ambitious project evolved, that profitability was too far in the future for us to sustain operations in the interim.

Our goal was to be ahead of the curve in the e-sports space, and conceived of CGS as a true sports league. We invested wholeheartedly in the venture and presented viewers with a top-notch production, but the economics just didn’t add up for us at this time.

Our only regret is that we will lose a team of creative and talented individuals who invested their hearts and souls into Championship Gaming Series. We recognize their achievements and thank them for their hard work and passion.

BSkyB, STAR and DIRECTV continue to be committed to the video games sector, which is an important part of many of our customers’ lives and a great source of entertainment.

In addition, CAL was the first online league to introduce integrated team predictions, roster locks, score tickers, draft leagues, and game ID locks.

Spartas best warrior interviewed (55 comments)

Fragster.de did an extensive interview with Sebastian 'Spart1e' Siira, containing his thoughts about the eswc ESWC MoA, his new clan and everything else that is going on his Quake 3-life at the moment. Here comes the snippet:
fragster.de: You already could be considered a good player, but you seemed lacked the edge to get to the top. What changed at Athens?

Sweden Spart1e: I was just more motivated to do good. I was really concentrated on things that would make me play good; eat and sleep good, was just thinking of getting my own game working rather than watching other games.

So if u wanna know if Spart1e really is afraid of Spiders, or just wanna take a look at his cfg, read the interview! (Germany version)
