Finding the best CSGO gambling sites in 2019 is not that easy. CSGO gambling has had a chequered past to say the least, with many sites being shut down and penalised because of illegal activity.

There is clearly a demand among some Counter-Strike lovers to bet on their favourite game but for the sector to be sustainable long-term, CSGO gambling sites must comply with the laws - primarily for the safety and security of esports fans but also for the sake of themselves.

The entrance fee for this spectacular event is merely 250SEK (€28) and included in this is loads of gibs for a whole weekend along with at least a 1on1 and a 4on4 tournament, so make sure to sign up your team! There are quite a few known players signed up already, which should make for a great action packed event.

ezQuake client takes command of latency (30 comments)
Posted by Åke Vader @ 05:06 CDT, 20 September 2008 - iMsg
Today the main Quakeworld portal Quakeworld.nu reports about advancement in the area of ping related issues in Quakeworld. Previously the cmd minping command has been used to adjust pings if players in a big tournament game insist on having a fair ping. The drawback of this method is that all players in a game are affected even if it's only one player that needs to "ping up", as this feature introduces a bunch of unwanted effects.

Another method is be to use a Qizmo proxy to re-route the Quakeworld packets to reach a higher ping, but this is not as realiable and is a quite time consuming method as one needs to search for a suitable Qizmo proxy server.

The new feature, added by the russian prodigy Russia Qqshka, that is up for testing in the ezQuake client is a client side command called cl_delay_packet <ms> which basically lets you add as many milliseconds to your ping as you like. This makes it possible to set a stable ping in situations where the ping may be jumpy, which sometimes causes the sensitive players to whine for hours when there is a big game coming up with thousands of spectators watching.

Read more about the feature and how to test it at Quakeworld.nu

Athens: The return of Toxic & Stermy? (160 comments)
Posted by tom @ 12:27 CDT, 18 September 2008 - iMsg
ESWC Athens has not only suprised us all with another Quake3 tournament, but it will also possibly witness the return of arguably the two strongest Quake4 players in history to their original game. SK Gaming reports that although both players have signed up no commitment will be made to attend by Toxic until he learns what monitors are to be used, whilst Stermy admits missing 1v1 competitions in an interview with Carmac.
Why have you signed up for Athens?

stermy: I signed up hoping they will be using Quake Live already for this event. I really want to play in some FPS 1v1 tournaments again and unfortunately I did not have this opportunity in the past year because of lacking of tournaments and schedule conflicts between the CGS and other events.

As soon as I got back from the US this August I started playing QuakeLive and I'm definitely enjoying it so far so I was just waiting for a big tournament to come up. Unfortunately I don’t know if this ESWC Masters in Athens will be Quake 3 CPMA or Quake Live already.

LanCraft Spring 2009 (32 comments)

The Trnávka 2008 LAN party is over. Slovakia Satan`s Proxies won the q3cz Quake 3 TDM tournament, Czech Republic Johnny_cz prevailed in the qwcz QuakeWorld tournament and Czech Republic Krysa ruled in q4cz Quake 4 Duel.

As for now, I would like to announce - this is going to be of special interest for the Poland polish players - that, thanks to Czech Quake and its cooperation with the Czech StarCraft scene and Czech Republic Jump, the LanCraft will feature FPS games.
We will have a Quake 3 tournament for sure and we are considering to add QuakeWorld, Quake 2 and Quake 4 as well. All tournaments will be played on duel (1v1).

LanCraft will be held in Czech Republic Rymarov at the beginning of March. The exact date will be announced at the end of September.

The official gathering channel for the Quake tournaments is #Quakers.ws on QuakeNet.

British Based Q3 CTF League Finished? (40 comments)
Posted by ini @ 09:55 CDT, 17 September 2008 - iMsg
After 27 seasons of flag capturing fun, we may have heard the last buzzer and seen the last flag capture of the Barrysworld/Jolt Q3CTFL.

On June 18th 2008 OMAC Industries acquired Jolt Online Gaming. The Dublin based company plan to turn Jolt into the hub of their browser based games service. Sadly this will see the servers that were so vital to the long running success of the league re-allocated to other areas.

This wouldn't be the first time the league has been left without a home, as when Barrysworld finally closed down the league was left without a home too. However, with Bigfoot at the helm he was able to secure servers with Jolt but this time the league is to receive another blow as Head Admin, and League/Match Reviewer Bigfoot is moving on and abroad to take up new challenges.

This leaves the admin team to find a new home for the league as well as the time and resources to continue running the league.

ESReality re-discovers Z4muz, how is he? (234 comments)

Sweden has raised one of the biggest and best Quake 3 Quake players of all time. There for everyone knows the old gamers joke: "If you are from Sweden, your are automatically a good FPS player". This was also a valid rule for the Arena legend Sweden Alexander 'Z4muZ' Ihrfors. How ever, like a lot of former eSports players, a few years ago Z4muZ changed his shaft for a pack of cards. So these days you might find him online or in a casino for poker.

Z4muZ is becoming a man, currently 22 years old and lives together with his girlfriend in a nice apartment in Avesta, Sweden. So he's living a good life out there in the cold.

For us a good reason to interview Z4muZ. Just to see how he is, what he does and what he loves.

The EuroCup Invites (39 comments)

The invites for the 18th season of the ClanBase ClanBase EuroCup has been started. The teams and players that are going to play for this Online cup are slowly getting known. Sadly not via the promised video show. According to ClanBase, the location they are wasn't fully prepared for it and there for ClanBase couldn't do anything else then to stop it and continue via I.R.C. Which is of course a disappointment for anyone.

The invites are now live on #EuroCup (QuakeNet).

Our favorite Polish e-sport journalist Poland Michal "Carmac" Blicharz once again managed to catch one of the key men behind the ESWC for another interview: France Matthieu Dallon. They discuss subjects such as the Masters events, the last ESWC Finals in USA and the games chosen for ESWC 2009. Here is a short extract:
Have you ever regretted any of ESWC’s game choices?
No. But I regret some games we have not chosen and I really understand the disappointment of some communities, but we cannot work with all the good games. We have to represent families of games, we have to make choices valuable worldwide, we have to favour the most popular titles and we also have personal affinities.
Feel free to read the entire interview on SK-Gaming.com. Also, you can still find the video interview from the ESWC 2007 Finals with the same fascinating individuals on GGL.com
