Finding the best CSGO gambling sites in 2019 is not that easy. CSGO gambling has had a chequered past to say the least, with many sites being shut down and penalised because of illegal activity.

There is clearly a demand among some Counter-Strike lovers to bet on their favourite game but for the sector to be sustainable long-term, CSGO gambling sites must comply with the laws - primarily for the safety and security of esports fans but also for the sake of themselves.
ClanBase CTF SummerCup (17 comments)
Posted by Saharak @ 03:04 CDT, 14 June 2008 - iMsg
The last edition was in the summer of 2005, but now there is a new

SummerCup 4v4 Capture the Flag cup for Quake 3:Arena!

As usual, the SummerCup will differentiate from the regular seasons (Spring/Fall cups). SummerCups have always been "less-serious" and more fun-oriented cups, and this will not change with this one. To differentiate, the format of this cup will be 4vs4 and featuring non-standard maps. Of course we have to keep in mind that we cannot do very crazy things with the maplist, since we are still held back by the availability of maps on publicly available servers.

q3wcp1, q3ctf2 and q3wcp9 will for sure not be part of the maplist.

Check cup's page for more detailed information.
Another addition to 4Kings Roster (87 comments)
Posted by exp! @ 07:54 CDT, 13 June 2008 - iMsg
4Kings are proud to announce another new addition to the Quake 3 roster in the form Austrian star:

Austria Richard "noctis" Gansterer

Currently working as an IT Technician in Vienna, Richard has had experience of Quake at the highest level from the past right up to the present. He comes to us after playing 1v1 for a-Losers for some time, and has been a part of one the best European TDM team for 2 years also. Boasting an undefeated record in both Quake 3 and Quake 4 for three years in Austria, it is obvious he comes to 4Kings looking strong.

Having attended CPL Italy in 06 (5th-8th place) and the ESWC Finals 06/07, he is no rookie of top events either and is looking to build on his performances this Summer in this year's ESWC.

Vo0 going to ESWC Grand Finals (208 comments)
Posted by Ins0mnia @ 01:34 CDT, 13 June 2008 - iMsg
Last weekend the Dutch ESWC qualifier in Quake 3 Arena has been played. With an exciting finale from Sander "Vo0" Kaasjager versus Lemmy "If-22" de Groot, in which IF-22 came out as the superior player.

How ever, the ESWC was so thrilled about the final, they decided that Vo0 should also be given a chance to ESWC USA. So there for they given the second spot also a ticket for the grand finales. Even thought Vo0 has to pay up his own trip.

Ofcourse not everybody is happy with this, because Ivo 'Forever' Lindhout states on GameLux that this is just not a fair way to distribute prizes. (The news hub of WSquared). How ever Forever did not attent the event. Because he didn't know there was a second prize.

Here is a part translated, quoted and cutted from what he had to say:

As since we of ESreality do care about our users and their public opinion. We have also made a poll about it. You can just vote here.
Q4Max 0.82 released (130 comments)
Posted by hemostick @ 14:29 CDT, 12 June 2008 - iMsg
Q4Max 0.82 is now available for download. There are 3 significant changes in this release:

Tutorbot. The tutorbot allows you to record and playback snippets which you can share with other players, or use for practicing yourself. For more details, see the page in the wiki.

cg_unsmoothclients. This new cvar (defaulted to the preferred value of 2), makes the prediction of the other players' positions more accurate, and so makes the game much more playable at higher pings at the cost of some smoothness.

The Domination gametype ("callvote mode dom"). This is a team-game where you gain points for your team by capturing points throughout the level.

Of course, there are also the usual assorted other tweaks and updates : extra SuperHud options, infinite ammo votes, and fixes for some invisible projectiles coming from nowhere, a gui bug leaking large amounts of memory on dedicated servers, and "the headless quaker" bug.
For full details, see the changelog.

Note to Mac users : Q4Max still runs on OS X. The Mac-specific package of this release might come at a later time. At the moment, just unzip the new file from above into your .81 install.

Tom "griffin" Wall Joins Team EG (83 comments)
Posted by dunnisdone @ 05:05 CDT, 10 June 2008 - iMsg
About a week after Team EG announced the acquisition of United States of America Paul "czm" Nelson, the organization has now picked up Canada Tom "griffin" Wall to join him as their Canadian Quake 3 representative. Included in the announcement, Wall plans to attend QuakeCon this July and then the Canadian ESWC Qualifier at VanLan in August, where he is expected to earn a spot in the ESWC Grand Finals.

Former pro gamer and current EG manager Canada Andy "gellehsak" Ryder said this, "I have known Tom for quite awhile now and we have always had our sights on him as he is a player that has that unique talent to pick things up in a hurry. He has demonstrated that he wants to be the next player to represent Canada, and we feel that he definitely has what it takes to find his place among the Quake elite not only in Canada, but on an International level as well."

Wall himself explained, "I'm excited to be a part of EG, one of the top gaming organizations out there today. I know that they will give me the support that I need to perform my best. I'm looking forward to the upcoming events and hope to attend as many as possible."

In addition, the competition will have no cash prize and winners of various regions will have to pay their own airfare to the finals in China China. The stated idea is that gamers will compete simply for medals and get individual sponserships to attend similar to competitors in regular Olympic events which also award no cash prizes. This last bit of information is from a casual conversation with a GGL admin, and hence I should add this prizing information is only correct as of this moment and may end up not being 100% final.
