The official launch of Alienware Arena was unveiled today (13th July 2009) by iGames.

The Alienware Arena is a series of online and LAN based gaming events for North America. Starting this summer and running through 2010, gamers can compete in challenges for opportunities to win a share of more than $50,000 worth of cash and Alienware gaming gear.

This summer will see Alienware Arena visiting Quakecon, Fragapalooza and Howie's Game Shack.

Upcoming Tournaments

The website will also provide live video broadcasts of championship matches and the ability to download highlight reels of past events.

seems like the alienware ql tournament was just the start of a series of esport events (mostly none quake) and we can expect some event for quakecon.
