wasn't there when it was originally conceived, so I need some explanation

you both spawn with all weapons besides rail and try to spawn rape each other into the lava it seems. warsow and quake 4 also had amphi like levels. they are pretty fun

It looks much better than the old one for sure. I remember when I used to hate it. :p

Good for practicing aim. I have a feeling though people will complain that it was *slaughtered* with the new visuals, even though it`s actually an evolution. :p

I never expected it to actually "take" in Q3 like it did in QW, simply because of the fact that there was a rail in Q3. It was never meant to be pretty either, just a simple aim-only map that was like its QW counterpart. Plus I had no idea how to map well, so it was just to get some amphi-like arena into q3, regardless of how it looked :)

so when do we get it

Considering how many people love amphi, they will probably find it a map worth subscribing for.

any map released in the future is pretty much guaranteed to be for premium subscribers only which basically kills any hope this game has of ever becoming as popular as it could.

on the other hand premium servers are pretty nice without you guys

Arena X also rocks. These maps are great for weapon skills, and dodging, although I find it harder to rail.

One small step for ID Software, a giant leap for Quake Live.

I seriously wonder what the point is. You're gonna see one decent air rocket or shaft elevator every 3 matches and that's it.
If people want to cross their lightning penises, why wouldn't they do it on dm6 at mh or any other standard map with the same kind of open space?
