I've understood that, yes. Unless we have a totally different notion of what a pad with friction is (which is possible), I'm afraid that you'll be disappointed with these pads (which are pretty much frictionless for me).
if u want rough glide try qck np+. it had more friction than any other steelseries mousepads.
i'm using it with zowie am.
before this i tried qck+: fast as shit, hard to control.
before try qck+ i used to mass/heavy for a years.
thank you for this! been using qck+ ever since they came out, but more friction is nice so i might pick this one up :)
though i must say imho qck+ has friction, pretty much tbh, compared to several other cloth mousepads i've tried at friends etc :p
get mass/heavy, the others are to thin and feel different to what you most probably expect. not so much cloth but thin layer of rubber that lets you "feel" your table, you want the thicker versions.
qck have no longevity , my razor mantis speed is still better after 5 years of use and abuse (the qck has lasted just on 6 months before becoming non-smooth)
Im comparing the old logo heavy vs the newly purchasd one. The old logo heavy used a more solid anti-friction rubber material at the bottom than new one. The logo is some sort of annoying sticker whick makes the logo area unuseable, it feels like you can remove the logo by scratching with your nails a couple of times, the old one is printed within the texture of the pad. Finally the feel feels too damn smooth for my taste, but that's probably because I dont remember how the brand new old logo one felt.
In any case for 2 reasons I mentioned seems like Steelseries is now reducing costs of their products by using materials of less quality.
QCK+ Heavy is fucking godlike. I will never own another brand/style. I have 2 more in the package in case I ever happen to eat or smoke mine when i'm drunk.
I've thought of the same. If it wasn't for the logo (which is nitpicking on a thing this size) I'd have bought several already because it's the wmo of mousepads.
Bought a mass too but somehow lost it in like a week rofl.
The only reason to get a Goliathus is if you own an Abyssus, otherwise it's poor quality like most razer products. QCK is not top quality either (e.g., just look at how much friction changes after the first 1-2 months of usage..), compared to for example the Puretrak Talent it's clearly inferior. But fanboys keep hyping it..
