i probably missed it because i loaded the esr frontpage once inbetween writing and posting

get a ramdisk http://www.softperfect.com/products/ramdisk/

make a ramdisk of 200 mb or whatever, and use it for your browser cache

make the filesystem NTFS, or you will have scandisk on every windows boot
